Real investors and traders usually use both.

Fundamentals to know the quality of what you’re buying. Is it worth buying? Is it overvalued or undervalued?

Technical analysis to know how it is trading or how it trades. Uptrend or downtrend? Are moving averages reliable for trading the stock? Is it at a resistance and ready to breakout? Is the price movement predictable or random etc

Sentiment to know whether it’s time for quick money or whether the market is risk off.

Other analysis can be used as well. Example: seasonality. That is, does the market tend to rally at certain periods? Etc.

Combining these greatly improve your chances of success.
