You are right sir but considering where I live, if I have that much money, I will rather invest it in S&P 500, OR any index fund that tracks s&p 500.

If you have upto 500m portfolio and above just switch to MERISTEM and you will be treated as a KING grin

I am a member from diaspora. I will split it both ways. Honestly, if and only if naira continues to be stable like this, I would be biased towards NGX than S&P...but diversification is key.

I have been with STANBIC IBTC for ages. I have no issues. They also have advantage of being the front for the big IPO's less likely to get your eventual allocations slash down if oversubscribed when you get it through them. I also think their fees are cheaper than most.

Good morning fellow market lovers, may the greens favour us all.

Guys, I am here again with a request.

I need a real and responsive stockbroker which I can use to trade and invest in the stock market.

I noticed some problems with some I tried:

I place limit orders and it never executes,

I tried to do a withdrawal with one but I was told to update my NIN or some other verification, which I did but haven't got a response in days,

Generally poor customer service everywhere, never getting response on time,

I also hate manual doings, like, why can't I click a button and do some withdrawals in an emergency instead of contacting someone for it and then it may take days to process?

All these, guys, I need to avoid. I have platforms that do well for other things I venture into but why not the stock market?

Please help me.

The value of a stock is based on the present value of its future cash flows. Stocks trade on forward earnings, not backwards. N3.35 in Q1 and I’m hearing EPS of H1 is around N7. That is a 10x PE sir
Is there a standard PE for stocks on NGX, stocks in general, or specific sectors have theirs? If in Q3 EPS reduces to about N2, would you project annualized EPS of N8 (or probably use the average of Q1 - Q3 and multiply by 4) and then reduce your projections?

What if you can make 100% from NGX in three months during this bull opportunity?

Your order on Meritrade did not get to the NGX.

I use Meritrade also and I notice sometimes that my orders don't get to NGX. I refresh my Morgan Capital order book for the particular stock to confirm orders on the NGX, after posting on Meritrade.

I'm a newbie I noticed access closed below 25. My order at 25 didn't execute on meritrade. Any explanation?

I did it in the past when dollar seem to be stable and crashed. You see this recent dollar stability, I do not trust it. If am earning in naira, I won't mind, but if I have to convert dollar to buy here in naija, I gotta be careful because you can sleep and wake up to dollar over fluctuations

Yeah it affected but several of my stocks helped me greatly. I bought SEPLAT at sub 500, presco 50, FBN 3 and a host of many others
