Oil prices spiked in early Asian trade on Tuesday, after the U.S. military launched strikes on targets in southern Iran, reigniting fears of military action just a day after prices had dropped dramatically on promises of a peace deal. At the time of writing, Brent futures had climbed to $98.39 per barrel, up 2.34% on the session after plunging 7% on Monday. WTI futures also climbed, but, as there was no settlement on Memorial Day, they remained 4.98% down from the start of the week at $91.79. https://oilprice.com/Latest-Energy-News/World-News/Oil-Prices-Jump-After-US-Strikes-Iranian-Missile-Sites.html OANDO quietly heading to #100 BARGAIN HUNTERS TAKE NOTE!

Curious to know: What do you do with the spare cash sitting in your brokerage account while waiting for the next investment opportunity to open? |

Curious to know too 👀 Because leaving spare cash in a brokerage account in Nigeria sometimes feels like keeping bread beside hungry ants 😭 Some people: - Leave it there untouched waiting for the next buy - Move it to money market funds for small interest - Use it to buy stable dividend stocks gradually - Keep averaging down on existing investments - Convert part to dollars to avoid Naira drama 🇳🇬 - Or accidentally “borrow” it for shawarma and data… then promise to return it before market opens 😂 Meanwhile inflation is in one corner doing press up. What about you? Do you keep idle cash ready for opportunities or make the money work while waiting? HesInMe: |

| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by HesInMe: 7:58am On May 26 |
Thanks. It's a new phenomenon for me. I rarely sell my stocks, so almost never had idle cash in brokerage for more than a few days. Until recently, as I've been closing out some low-conviction names or stocks with stretched valuation. Just wondering how other investors here do cash management. mjblinks: |

HesInMe:I was keeping it in brokerage account. Then this brokers begin to operate inec kind of glitches on thr system. It is better u keep your money yourself and when u need it you deploy again. If anything happens to any broker your money don enter voice mail.It is better to play safe oh |

I remember the only time I tried portfolio rebalancing.. ended up selling stocks that soon skyrocketed in value and bought jagbajantis stocks based on hype. I've sold all the jagbajantis now... Anyway I have peace of mind now.. no tension |

I feel safer deploying the money in a defensive dividend paying stock or make a withdrawal, to avoid CASHCRAFT things. Streetinvestor2: |

| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by mikeapollo: 9:48am On May 26 |
SonofElElyonRet:Similar thing always happens to me when I try it. The so called portfolio rebalancing can be costly if you sell a stock in very high volumes, only for it to rise afterwards. |
