‘’Nigeria is dead, lets not deceive ourselves. Let me tell you something. Once you are counting in Naira, you are poor. I was not born poor. My father's salary in the 70s or 80s was about N18, 000. That was money. How much is a billion Naira today in dollars or N1.4 billion in dollars? $1 million. Do you know what a billion Naira was when I was 15 or 16? $2.8 billion.''

‘’They have erased it out of our academic systems. We do not research data to know what our future looks like. So we are not doing the critical thinking so we have no combatant against our subconcious foolishness''

Who are "they" that removed it? And when did this happen?

We are quick to embrace conspiracy theories. But let's assume something was removed – whether by accident or on purpose. Has anyone from any quarter actually raised the issue through proper channels, or formally requested its inclusion?

What are the possible consequences of requesting for additional allotment of shares in the DANGOTE SUGAR right issue?

I just checked the list of shareholders using my surname and what i discovered took me to this taught line. Out of 72 persons bearing same surname with me on the list I happen to hold the highest number of shares despite the fact that I hold not up to 100,000 units. Hence, I think that many of these retail investors may likely not take up their rights. Abi the big guys will corner the rest and my money may possibly be returned after keeping it for a long time?

There is no need debating or arguing with someone quoting another person.

Whoever says his father received N18,000 monthly in the 70's and even 80s may not be lying but surely not saying the truth.

I won’t vouch for his type, but he probably meant N18,000 per annum, which is a plausible equivalence of N1,500 monthly—a reasonable middle class salary for that era.

That is the price of a tear rubber vehicle in the 70s. I doubt if any civil servant received up to that.

Who takes this one serious. Not everyone that answer pastor be true pastor. In last election what was his stand before travelling abroad during elections and refusing to vote The failed government is now affecting his alert and didn't give him whr to loot his own.He is now complaining but still refused to call direct name.
Some of this people if they come near me in the name of pastor na head b..utt dey go collect
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by presiade(m): 2:20pm On May 26
I’m not holding brief for him, but we may not really be able to verify the information without knowing what job his father had back then. If his dad worked in Shell, he could have made up to N12K as main salary and benefits, and bonus pay could have bumped it up toN18K. I’m only playing devil’s advocate here. But knowing Asefarasin’s type, he's mostly likely capping.

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by presiade(m): 2:37pm On May 26
You have to stay close to your customers magas. Some of them have however relocated to the U.S. (Sam Adeyemi), U.K. (Kumuyi), and, even recently, Kenya (Femi Lazarus). Those are the ones who have successfully put their ATMs on auto-run mode.

Due to the economic realities, many retail investors may not take up their rights as they cannot afford it and see no incentive to. I cannot even afford to fully take up my rights now as it will set me back over N34M which i don't have. And if i manage to raise the money before 24th June, i still have to figure out if taking up the rights is a wise-investment decision compared to diverting the N34M into Access Bank.

Your point is valid but na dat access talk no follow. Sugar will deliver before access go move body by 2028
You go see wetin go happen when access no declear interim dividend after H1 results and uba declare

Just thinking if alhaji announces Dangote food game again this yr....Why did alhaji choose strictly RI to raise the money and not PO inclusive should be the question
That means 72% of the RI money is already in the bag based on majority shareholder holding

If it shows up at below 65, it is still a win. Sold first batch at 88.5 I forgot to sell 2nd batch early today so I sold at max red. 17naira profit no bad.. have booked my rights for all. Will topup from the floor at sub 65. I hope Bros JP will have gbe body by then.
Anybody who sold Dangote Sugar at N84 and above probably sold after the Q1 result was released on 30th April 2026. If that is the case, then you still have your Rights Issue locked in as the QD was 20th April 2026.
