Ngx daily market summary for today's trading session.
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Raider76: 8:25pm On May 29
Please is Oando the only company required to have their FS vetted by the FRC? Or are they just doing it to give some sense of regulatory approval to the results? Two weeks is certainly not enough time to vet the results of such a large company as Oando, especially going by the time the CBN takes to vet banks' results.

Latest development :Expect FS next month: June

The vetting of result by FRCN arise during the Alhaji Mangal saga. ( I am trying to lay hand on the official statement from Oando ). What i don't know is if the process will continue in perpetuity.

I don't see the price going below N20 with what they have done so far.
The company is doing extremely well in growing their business. The only question for me is if the management could be trusted to deliver in the long run.

I heard somewhere that the company officially indicated that it's results would be delayed.

However, given Aradel's recent history, the market appears to be pricing in a strong Q1/Q2 2026 performance already. The bigger question may not be whether profits grow, but whether they grow enough to justify the stock's recent rally.

In March, they wrote a statement saying they’d drop it On or Before May29. Today is May 30.

So one of the lessons I learned from investing in the US market is that in determining the future of a company looking at the result is always too late. Now the NGX is no where near as efficient as the NYSE so looking at the result does work in the short term. However in the long term the lessons learned on the NYSE rule.

I stand by my prediction and I stand by my timeline. I hope this conversation is remembered by then.

Those who have access to the appropriate authorities in Nigeria should urgently appeal for the safe release of the children and their teachers. This heartbreaking situation must not be allowed to continue.

How can a nation remain silent in the face of such senseless violence and brutality? Is Nigeria without a government? The primary responsibility of any government is the protection of lives and property. Security must always come before business, economic indicators, or stock market performance.

The lives of innocent citizens, especially children, should never become secondary concerns. Every necessary effort must be made to ensure their immediate rescue and safe return.

Enough is enough. Let this nightmare come to an end.
