E180416:Owerri – The All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, on Monday said he would ensure that the Naira was equal to the dollar in value, if voted into office. Buhari stated this during the South-East presidential rally of the party at Dan Anyima Stadium, Owerri. https://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/03/ill-make-naira-equal-in-value-to-dollar-says-buhari/ I found that the govt debunked it and videos of the rally have been scrubbed from the internet which is weird |

Mandem05:You can't remove Tinubu through our present voting system, it's impossible. You think you are dealing with Jonathan or Obi. Tinubu will kill all of us than to lose 2027 election now join that to Wike another brutal politician advising him. Votes won't count, a lot of voters will be disenfranchised and massive rigging will happen. Nigerians adapt too fast that is our greatest problem plus religion that will be giving us false hope that God will punish them for us. Religion has destroyed us, most believe that God will come and save us, that alone makes us accept everything. Sell fuel 5000 per litre today and you get few weeks rant on social media and everyone moves on. It's unbelievable how people survive. Just pray that Tinubu doesn't over rate his powers and start thinking of 3rd term. 2027 will be a repeat of 2023, I am only not sure who will be 2nd between Obi and Atiku.

You didn't factor in; frontier market status, new re rating by different international organization and consequent FDI, if present administration continues after election which is likely... Then it is safe to conclude that market crash or very long term bear market is not in view. Kindly note that there will always be market corrections and intermittent pull backs but long term bear market. NFA nosa2: |

ogawisdom:The narrative that tinubu could only win in 2027 is just all sentiment. Party politics is still very strong in Nigeria, in my state for example you can't even hear people talk about any other party, it is just like everyone you meet has one or two things to do with the party and those are the people that actually vote. APC is set to win convicily from top to bottom here. |

jckgroup1:My bearish stance has nothing to do with the general market. See if you're bullish you're bullish, some faceless Gorilla on the internet is not going to change your mind. I'm bearish on the entire sector and to me it's amazing how the bullish people are not seeing it. |

This nonsense about APC winning i don’t get it? It’s like it’s spirit that will vote for him cause everyone i know in my life, friends, acquaintance, colleagues, i know only one person in those 100s of people that supports Tinubu. This talk reminds of when people were saying Obi’s supporters are only online like people online are ghost - well those ghost online gave him over 6 million votes. Tinubu is hated by everyone but u somehow believe that he is going to win - How? Will they get spirits to vote him. See if elections hold today and Tinubu will come out 4th place. |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by isaacosas01(m): 10:28am On Jun 01 |
megawealth01:I am tired of the statement too. Impossible to remove Tinubu because of what? People make that ridiculous statement to make people lose faith. They don’t say he will win - cause they know he can’t, they say you can’t remove him. Telling us that Tinubu is such a master rigger he would rig out 100m plus Nigerian. The real question is will the North vote Tinubu over Atiku - the answer is No. Will the South vote Tinubu over Obi - the answer is no. Even Makinde will defeat Tinubu in Oyo. So how will Tinubu win ![]() How They can’t answers - they just say it will be impossible to remove him. This divided opposition means Tinubu instead of 2nd place will come out 3rd or 4th place, behind Obi and Atiku. Atiku, Obi will sure score more votes than Tinubu - go and mark it. |

| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by ghm: 10:46am On Jun 01 |
isaacosas01:Lol! Even hatred isn't enough. He's survived too much of it. People may hate Tinubu, but they don't vote for a person alone. If they did, Osinbajo – the widely liked former VP – would have won. People vote for associations, institutions, systems, structures, corporations, achievements, experience. Tinubu had more of those than any other contestant. That's also why Atiku always wins primaries. As for the Obi supporters you mentioned: they weren't originally his supporters. The movement started with EndSARS and built momentum. Their mistake was rallying behind Obi – an old‑guard politician, even if slightly different – instead of a completely new face untainted by Nigeria's past failures. That would have won. Sadly, they're repeating the same error. |

This government should concentrate on fulfilling the promises it made to Nigerians and delivering tangible results during its first term, rather than engaging in unnecessary political noise and premature boasting about 2027. The priority should be addressing the challenges facing the people and earning their confidence through performance, not rhetoric. isaacosas01: |

Full Market Cycle Breakdown: How Liquidity Collapse and Distribution Shaped NGX in May 2026 The Nigerian stock market in May 2026 presented a textbook example of a full market cycle, transitioning from momentum-driven expansion to liquidity collapse, followed by distribution, a failed recovery attempt and eventual return to a risk-off environment. While the Nigerian Exchange Limited All-Share Index (ASI) closed the month marginally higher at 250,385.47 points, up 0.27 percent week-on-week at the end of the final trading session, underlying data reveals a structurally weak market dominated by declining liquidity, selective gains and sustained institutional selling pressure. | Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by ghm: 10:59am On Jun 01 |
Pete002:Same here. I still don't see any current candidate who can deliver something truly different. This administration has performed better on macro‑economics than most past ones. Think of macro‑economics as the infrastructure; micro‑economics is built on that, and it's micro‑economics that actually improves people's lives sustainably. So I'd rather stick with APC/Tinubu for another four years. Trust them to build on the macro‑economics and then focus on micro‑economics that benefit citizens widely – instead of another four years of trial and error with any of these other candidates. |

Some people's children are dying inside bush while a FirstLady/Her Son is in a convoy of 35 cars, money that should have been used for security, but una own no dey ever pass the 200% gain una make for Zenith bank on the NGX.
