🚨 VFDGROUP's limit-up rally has completely unraveled.

The stock touched ₦11.55 (+10%) earlier today but has since plunged to ₦10.20 (-2.86%).

A brutal intraday reversal as sellers overwhelm buyers.

The statement "Anything that can be bought has no value" is a philosophical way of distinguishing between price and value.

At first glance, it sounds contradictory because things we buy clearly have value. However, the deeper meaning is that the **most important things in life cannot be purchased with money**.

What it means

Many things can be bought:

* Cars
* Houses
* Expensive clothes
* Titles and positions
* Luxury goods

But some of the things people cherish most cannot be bought:

* Genuine love
* Trust
* Integrity
* Good health
* Peace of mind
* Wisdom
* True friendship
* Respect
* Time

The statement suggests that if something can simply be acquired with money, its worth is limited because anyone with enough money can obtain it. In contrast, things that cannot be bought are often rare, personal, and deeply meaningful.

### Examples

* You can buy a bed, but not restful sleep.
* You can buy medicine, but not guaranteed health.
* You can buy a house, but not a loving home.
* You can buy attention, but not genuine respect.
* You can buy company, but not true friendship.

### A business perspective

In business, this statement is not literally true. A truck, factory, or commodity has economic value and can be bought and sold. However, even in business, the greatest assets are often intangible:

* Reputation
* Customer loyalty
* Trustworthiness
* Leadership
* Organizational culture

These cannot simply be purchased; they must be earned over time.

### A balanced interpretation

A more precise version of the statement might be:

> "The things of greatest value in life are often the things that money cannot buy."

This captures the idea that price is what you pay, but value is what something is truly worth.

This is an interesting read , don't give up!

Soaring stock markets created nearly 2 million new millionaires around the world last year, with the ultra rich seeing the strongest growth, according to a new study.

The population of global millionaires surged 7.9% to 25.3 million in 2025, according to the Capgemini World Wealth Report. Their total wealth increased by 8.7% to $98.3 trillion, marking the fastest growth in five years.

Yes – no catalyst, no new trends, no news or events worth mentioning right now.

That means people here don’t talk just to talk. They speak purposefully, only when there is something of value to say.

That is exactly why I take this thread seriously – I have benefitted immensely from it. Kudos to all contributors.

TARGET TECHNICAL ANALYSIS!!! WHAT WILL THE MARKET DO TODAY?
NIGERIA STOCK REPORT 5 JUNE 2026

All Share Index expected to close between -0.15% and +0.40%.

MARKET OVERVIEW
The market fell for the fourth straight day. The main index dropped 0.37% to 242,227. Trading volume fell 36%, value fell 34%, and deals fell 17%.

SURFACE VS REALITY
On the surface, this looks like normal profit-taking. But underneath, high interest rates (26.5%) and falling oil prices (down 2.5% this week) are causing a liquidity squeeze. Big investors have stopped buying. Large banks and telecom stocks fell, while a few small insurance and consumer stocks saw random buying.

BREADTH AND ROTATION
More stocks fell than rose. The leaders were low-priced, high-risk stocks like XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX. These moves were driven by short-covering and low volume, not real confidence.

Big, stable names like XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX dropped sharply. Big funds are selling to raise cash. Money moved from large caps into speculative stocks. This is often a warning sign before a bigger drop.

SECTORS
Insurance and some industrial stocks held up relatively well. Banking and consumer goods remained weak. Oil and gas stocks fell due to lower oil prices and profit-taking. However, in the medium term, oil stocks have strong fundamentals, and the elevated price range will continue to benefit oil producing stocks.

INSTITUTIONAL ACTIVITY
Stocks that rose did so on high volume, but other indicators were mixed. Big investors did not step in during the final hour. Many gains faded by the close. Small traders drove the bounce, not big money. No sign yet that big funds are buying again.

TECHNICAL OUTLOOK
The market is in a short-term downtrend. Volume is at multi-session lows. In emerging markets like Nigeria, such low volume often leads to either a sharp bounce on good news or a steeper drop if bad news hits.

WHAT TO DO
Stay defensive. There are a few short-term trades in stocks showing strong reversal patterns like XXXX and XXXX, but only if they hold above their short-term average with high volume. Use tight stops and limit exposure. Avoid stocks that have already had big runs.

The broader picture suggests continued consolidation or mild downside risk next week. Unless there is good news on government payouts or central bank policy, big investors will likely stay on the sidelines.

Watch for a true selloff that could set up better buying opportunities. Until then, protect your capital and make only very selective trades.

KEY SIGNALS
Heavyweight stocks still under pressure.
Internal market selling intensity is reducing.
Early rotational stabilization is beginning beneath the surface.

This pattern is typically seen during late corrective phases and the transition from panic liquidation into selective re-accumulation.

LIKELY MARKET DIRECTION
The short-term outlook remains sideways to bearish. Market breadth improved from 0.34 to 0.83, but the main index broke below its short-term averages. Declining volume shows low institutional conviction. Expect continued selective profit-taking in vulnerable mid-cap stocks

Whales taunting weak hands at 10.50 which they have been positioning.
Once those lower prices are cleared ,they remove their offers to pave way for a higher price.

Abbey is doing 10% @ 9.35 already.
