Many stocks will fall, as people sell to enter DR. That is my greatest concern. I know say one day I go get the stock when everything don settle. No rush.

It looks to be in blocks of $50m. However you don’t have to have that ticket size available, can be pooled funds with others

A few stocks on my radar in this week's trading session
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Shalom428: 7:52pm On Jun 07
I’m not buying until I see the numbers. I’m just an individual investor, so my opinion shouldn’t influence anyone else’s decision. Lately, I’ve been leaning toward a more conservative approach. DR is a solid company with excellent prospects, but for now, I prefer to wait it out. Opportunities abound.

What's your verdict? We shouldn't buy DR?

Give me one example. Just 1 example of refineries around the world of this scale with this ridiculous valuation.
Do you have any numbers on the profitability of the refinery?
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Sunrisepebble: 8:42pm On Jun 07
I wish I could share.
Also important thing to note about Dangote refinery is that it’s in a free trade zone. There is no income tax, the EBITDA margin is pretty much the Net profit margin

As in ehen!! All of them are looking at the cash invested. They are valuing the risk Alhaji took, his time and effort at zero. Wickedness in high places.

I am not buying sha. It is against my religion to buy IPO or PO. Only thing I can consider is rights issue
Abeg no vex, how does your religion forbid IPO and PO?

Refineries of this scale around the world are actually worth that amount and even slightly more now.
They are not valuing at 20 billion now .That was the value claimed during Buhari when the refinery was finished and commissioned. They are telling us it valued plus/minus 50 billion dollars now.Which is scam alert
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by vibesdot001(m):
Next week should show some positive vibes as investors can expect positive sentiment and potential upward price momentum for UCAP as the market reacts to this historic milestone. By securing Ethiopia's first-ever foreign investment banking license, UCAP hands its shareholders an immediate competitive edge, it diversifies earnings away from localized Nigerian market, establishes a highly lucrative first mover advantage in a fresh market of over 120 million people, and proves the company's aggressive expansion strategy. This announcement serves as a major short-term bullish trigger for stock demand next week, while solidifying UCAP's position as stock for long-term portfolios.

Based on what you shared. Those in your category are hoping to get it at 200/300 naira cheaper so the numbers you have will definitely make sense..lol
So the guys coming for IIPO go become maga.
No wahala is not like I am interested in the IPO. I will rather buy nosa access and wait for 100% gain by 2028 lol

This one has no business being below #,20 for this long time.It should be heading to #30
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Sunrisepebble: 9:58pm On Jun 07
If you use an exchange rate of 1360/$. It’s about N130 cheaper. There’s a lock-up period of one year. If the IPO is oversubscribed then fantastic deal. I’m not sure how that will go tbh, the offering size is huge

There are numbers but they can’t be shared because of NDA.

In a matter of Months when IPO is ready the numbers will be available to the public

BAGCO didn't go under, it was merged with the parent company- Flour Mill for those who opted for it while cash equivalent of investors holdings were returned to those who chose otherwise.

Yours truly got cash equivalent because I didn't get the information about the other option.

Jf you want to buy, don't let anyone discourage you. When the stock start to rally, you will see all the people who said they will not buy, saying they bought.

It has happened before, and it will happen again
