Why does the NGX gate price formation on volume? Why can’t we run like the NYSE and LSE where any genuine trade updates the last price immediately? |

isaacosas01:Someone asked this in a webinar, NGX's response was that they need to put hedging instruments like options in place before allowing wild volatility like that. Same with the 10% rule. |

There’s been a lot of activity within the Dangote Group lately. Over 10 million units of NASCON were traded in just two days—yet the price held firm without crashing. yMcy56: |

Shalom428:Then, you are one of the big guys in this platform. Whatever you lost in the form of capital appreciation, you gained in dividend returns. If my arithmetic is still okay for you to have 8 digits in dividend on 2nd July with Dancem means you have nothing less than 247,000 units (i am being modest here, it could be more). Yes, you are truly one of the men in this platform. When i grow up, would like to be like you. Congratulations. ![]() |

Someone called me to tell me that my late friend’s wife inflated her kids school fees as I have been the one paying since 3 years that my frd departed…..it was one of the the promises I made. I felt bad because it was not that I have so much myself. So she reminded me of the balance last week as I already gave her the permission to remind me. When she did, I sent her the balance. I was still having a mixed feeling as I thought the source that told me she inflated the school fee might be saying the truth or not. So somehow, I got the school contact and then called the school to inquire. The school gave me the fees for each class and I found out that I was under paying the school fee by 17k. Immediately, I called her and asked that I want to see her. We met and I asked why she didn’t tell me the exact school fee of her children. She was surprised and to calm down her curiosity, I explained that I reached out to her children school and the reason why I go to know. So she explained to me that the school fees were increased but she didn’t want to bother me since I was already doing so much. Over there, I feel so emotional and wonder why someone would have called to tell me she was inflating the children’s fee when she was not. It would be unfair of me if I didn’t tell her I thought. So I told her it is her elder sister who lives together with them that called me. I showed her the number, time she called, and the text she sent. She bursted into tears. She could not say any words. But why will someone do that to her own sister? She didn’t even pity how she struggles to take care of the kids and bring them livelihood. For the terms I under paid her, I balanced up. God bless every struggling mother. May your enemies be all put to shame. 🙏 Oluwanishola Akeju |

Shalom428:You are indeed very correct. Before i joined this thread i was on my own ( me, myself and I) priding myself that i have a huge portfolio. But, when i started interactions here on this thread my eyes opened wide. Then, i realized i was just starting and was humbled. Yes, they say investment is not a team sport, but when you see the way people analyze stocks, trade stocks and speculate stocks then you just have to put your acts together. I am making good progress and challenging myself to do more. Have very few years to retire, ![]() |

Asangbekoko:Tbis is my advice: dont take such comments too serious. If yiu do, you would worry yourself about nothing and may end up losing opportunities in good stocks. People here may say so many things that are only hypothetical and not practical or realistic. If |
