I am curious, what happens when thousands of people buy micro-shares of a company and die without either dematerilising it or letting their family know. Are those shares just lost forever? Eg, the thousands of parents who bought bankIPOs during the stock boom of 2006.
It's lost forever if none of the kids or grand kids have knowledge about investment or is aware the parents bought so as to be able to pursue it with Registrars.

Reasons there are billions in unclaimed dividends too......

Nigerian govt's prayers answered 😁

I thought the CBN regulation says an individual cannnot hold more than 5% stake in a bank.

Femi now controls 20.42% equity shares of First Bank....
Above 100 still beckoning once papa is ready....😊

** Meanwhile, accumulations is still ongoing in NASCON....
I hope it's not Ote$$ that's taking position here as well....

We need to know who's behind the 70M units of DANGCEM crossed yesterday and those accumulating NASCON....
Something seems fishy here...

BREAKING: Israel has launched a new overnight ground advance into southern Lebanon with Hezbollah forces engaging Israeli troops directly at zero distance, destroying 4 Israeli military vehicles and downing helicopters during evacuation flights. This follows 20+ Israeli airstrikes that leveled residential buildings and killed at least 18 people, including entire families, in the heaviest assault since the ceasefire, per Al Jazeera.

Over this violation of the Iran-US MOU's first clause, Iran has suspended negotiations with the US and the Switzerland trip, with VP Vance also cancelling his trip in response.

Iran now says it will not unilaterally implement any MOU commitments until the U.S. does the same and attacks in Lebanon permanently stop, per Fars.

They can hold but must get written approval and it must not be more than in one bank

WHAT WILL THE MARKET DO TODAY!!!
The market is moving towards a bearish stage.

It is very surprising that when the FPIs are out of the market, the recovery of the Nigeria market is a little bit challenging.

Let us see if the market can recover with just the local participants.

This year people have now changed the rules on minimum quantity for share price movement.
Them want fall out shares. When we had bulls that this rule would have helped, they didn't change it.
News is from Nairametrics.

By my calculations.

Still too early. Wait till atleast you see a bounce. Then before deliberating if it has reached bottom or considering buy dips.

By the way, that's not how i know when a stock is at bottom level but that roughly a clue before you start that conversation otherwise you will continue to buy dips and keep catching a falling knife.

Good morning, sir and to all the chiefs in the house.

I'm currently invested with equity mutual funds but I've been following this thread for a while now.

I think I want to begin to test the waters here. I currently have 700k i'm willing to use for this purpose, please what stocks (both growth and value) would you advice if you were starting out at this time and how would you diversify?

Does anybody know about Ecobank mutual fund. Its returns and liquidation

Thanks in anticipation.

FPI had little to play in this bull run, Fine there was FPI but FPI mostly stayed in fixed income which is why Cardoso is reluctant to upset them by cutting rate aggressively.

What did drive the bull run was 1- massive Retail participation 2- Pension fund and other local institutions buyers 3-Sector rotation. 4- Iran U.S dance in middle East.

If truly FPI came to the market, book valuation of most large cap stocks in Nigeria will make this bull run seem like the beginning.

He also has than that indirectly if you consider his majority shareholding in some entities with Zenith bank shares.
