On 13 May, FIRSTHOLDCO recorded over ₦44 billion in trades and closed at around ₦71 per share. Every trade involves both a buyer and a seller, meaning that some investors are collectively sitting on an unrealized loss of about ₦7 billion today. On Friday, when the share price was around ₦55, that loss was closer to ₦12 billion, all in less than two months.

So, being down a couple of million naira feels a lot less annoying when I consider that.

I expect Q2 result to be even more fantastic because the gulf war crude oil windfall only affected March earnings in Q1, but persist almost throughout Q2. Aradel could be doing better, but I am glad with the Q1 result. These are the numbers I liked most:Operating cash flow: ₦868.3bn. PAT: ₦120.3bn

That is an extraordinary cash conversion quarter. The company generated almost ₦0.9 trillion of operating cash in just three months!
lol, I find it very funny when people base their analysis on the PAT and surface figures. If you do your analysis well, you will know Aradel is an expensive stock based on Q1 results and will advise if you have it, hold for now. It’s freaking expensive than Seplat… 40X PE, the heck? Seplat is just 7x PE, and this is normalized PE oooo.

Omo don’t buy Aradel now please, I hold Aradel but I am taking profit for now to redirect into better priced stocks at the moment. I’ll leave my cost amount in Aradel until it get to the region where I am comfortable buying.

Q2 should give much more than q1. Remember in q1 there was a 38-day unplanned outage on the Trans Forcados Pipeline (TFP). Those losses will surely not affect q2
Do you also realize Aradel has an over lift of 120bn in the other income figure? It means they extracted more crude than they should have. The implication is that, they have to allow other partners overlift to compensate for the 120bn they collected. So that figure (120bn) will be taken out from future earnings.

I think the most important thing is how the consolidation will impact production in terms of revenue. Fingers crossed, but if you have Aradel now, hold. This is not a good time to buy, it is expensive until further quarters result prove otherwise.

With this Q1 self, ARADEL should not be trading below 2k.
Cash flow from operating activities alone was going to a Trillion Naira in just a quarter!

You claimed you hold Aradel and you are selling now, yet you advise people not to buy. Who do you want to sell to? Many people may not take you seriously.

People buy/invest in stocks for different goals, based on various criteria. So there will always be someone that would buy what anyone may want to sell. It is a market!

Why does his advice seem contradictory to you? The advice is in line! If I hold a stock, and now current realities imply that it's overvalued, Me deciding to SELL and then telling people not to BUY is exactly an advice in good faith, I don't know if I'm missing something in your interpretation??

Me wanting to sell cos it's overvalued while advising people to buy is what's in bad faith and is called Monkey Hunting here.

Similarly, those buying may not necessarily buy from members of this forum.
