SimpleGuy001:So, what's the region you're comfortable with that's not "freaking expensive"? The much noised ACCESS that was undervalued, how's the market treating her? When you retailers are done with your panic sales, at least you'll all allow the stock to face front...... No be today we dey this market..... Nsempas will do their orisirisi analysis while Mr. Market will follow its own mind... |

awesomeJ:His advice should naturally attract a question mark in a commercial transaction of this nature. Since higher demands is linked to higher stock price and higher stock price is linked to profit, and that rational investor will seek to maximise profit:- It is therefore important to question the fellow who wants to take profit while advising other not to buy, the reason he wants to take his profit at 'loss'. Advising people to buy when a stock is overvalued (Monkey Hunting) is not the point here. The reason for advising when your interest will be adversely affected is the point here. |

opadiya:Like you rightly said, he's giving an advice even though he's poised to lose should people follow that advice and you're calling him out for putting the interestoif others over his own selfish interest Haba na.What he has exhibited should be commended not at all condemned. Even though he holds the stock, he doesn't mind saying that at 40x PE, it's overvalued, yet you prefer if he deceives people that the stock is a gold that should be pursued come on na. Obviously if you were chnaced you would rather prefer to lure people into buying. It's your own stance that people should watch carefully. |

opadiya:I am advising them not to buy because I am a good guy. This is NOT a good time to buy Aradel. I have already taken my profit off it and redirected to MTN and Zenith. Go and check the order, Aradel is on Full offer and no bid as at the time I am typing this. The game is the game. I love Aradel a lot but with the dividend coming up (which means it will have a markdown again). I need to be smart by taking my profit and then wait for it to approach my buy zone for me to load up again. This is my investment thesis and I’m just doing good by saying don’t buy Aradel now. You can hold which is good, I would have done that but upon analyzing my strategy and the wait time for Q2, I prefer to deploy my profit to another stock. I still have money in Aradel, I am only taking the profit it has given me before market takes it back |

Isn't Aradel trading down today? I'm seeing most trades at N1,575 in my portal -- so down 10% -- though the price hasn't been marked down. |

| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by SimpleGuy001: 11:55am On Jun 23 |
opadiya:As the person you quoted said, people buy for different reasons. I have a genuine advice that I would give a friend. It’s that simple, you don’t have to take it. I have my investment thesis and while I can hold for long term, I prefer to take profit so far and leave my investment amount. Just to add, even if I do not take profit, there is no how Aradel will not fall. lol, you think retailer move the market that much? Before the main people use me to take profit, I have taken it and left my cost. Aradel is a long term hold for me but I also need to lower my entry price while putting my profit to good use. It will approach my buy zone and I will load up. By the way, not everyone uses Nairaland? People that will buy have bought it already. Not everyone is learned and that is why we have this platform here to educate ourselves |

yMcy56:I am also waiting for the price to drop after I have joined in making the noise. lol, stock markets isn’t about sentiments. It doesn’t have to suit you oga, I only gave an advice in good faith. No need to insult me |

Some of us still remember when Oando traded above ₦100 back in 2007/2008. If we apply the time value of money, that ₦100 then would be roughly equivalent to about ₦2,000 today How much is Oando today? A good investor must be able to read financial statements, interpret them accurately, and make decisions free from emotional bias It's been a while I saw Pa Emma's comment. I hope he is well.
