It's election time. A govt desperate for good news will do and enforce anything so they can have things to announce by December. Umahi likes to believe he is some genius or chosen one for the next round simply because he paves road with concrete...don't underestimate the far reach of federal might.

He is implying a general price reduction, not just for coastal road and the like.
mikeapollo:
What Umahi said does not make sense.
The FGN has the might and privilege to negotiate with cement producers, agree and and lockdown prices for supplies to specific contract specific, especially if they are willing to make deposits in advance.

Also, I am going to ignore the insane corruption inherent in the Minister of Works delivering the keynote address for his vendor, a company with which his ministry has a business relationship.

Rmx, not me. I never said anything about FD. I only highlighted an instrument I’m subscribed to that currently yields approximately 23%
ppogba:
You specifically mentioned FD.

FD is different from Government bond Sir.

🚨 Red corner before noon.

ARADEL joins the limit-down list (-10%), alongside DEAPCAP(DWL)

Pressure is spreading across the market, but trading activity remains selective with volume still thin. 📉

We just might break 230k support tomorrow.
June might end up nearing -9% maiking it the slowest month since at least 2024.

"Let's fund a 'lavish' wedding that I'm unable to afford"
That's a public liability wedding, of course it is not impossible, the wife will be co-owned by the investors. I think Agba can invest in this business, it is his type of deal. grin grin

Beeron:
You should hold on for now:

Disregard their incoming result.
Disregard the news in the middle East.

The reason you need to hold on longer is simple. At this current level, no Institutional buyer will accumulate Aradel, people that are buying now are retailers that their money don't move the market as much. But once institutional money enter the market, Aradel will move.

The risk for entering now is if retailers eventually gets tired, consolidation will happen and if that happens, Aradel will fall back down to the level Institutional buyers are comfortable to buy.

Even if retailers push up ARADEL from this level and everything goes smooth, it won't be long before it gets to overbought region. And I can promise you, another correction will happen.

So hold on for now.
missuzoma, do you remember this advice I gave you regarding Aradel?

You should be thankful already.

“My first interpretation of the H2 2026 outlook is in the context of the pre-election year we are currently in. In pre-election years, the stock market tends to be strong from January to May, and then we start seeing some weakening from June. That decline tends to be very strong in August and September — in fact, in the pre-election years we analysed, the ASI was actually negative in both months.”- Mr. Abiodun Ogunniyi, Head of Research, GTI Securities

It will be terrible if this trend continues till August! sad

There won't be much bear, cos the forthcoming election outcome is very predictable and almost like walk in the park for the incumbent government.
You can tell from the recent elections.

Even BTC has now broken new 52-week low.

I wonder how Saylor survives HBP with this his risky strategy at Strategy.

Morgan Capital has not debited my trading account for my Sugar rights up till now, I hope they will not tell me stories?
The Rights issue just ended. Stockbrokers have an additional two weeks to collate and make returns. Just make sure your account stays funded. They will most likely debit you on July 3 or July 6.

Aradel acting as a nice shelter against the NGX carnage. It is good as they have not removed the 100k trade requirement. Those selling at 1,575 must really need the money. Why sell at 10% down when the price will not move? Clarify the big guys who can move the price have decided to hold for now.
You spoke too soon. Aradel price did a full limit down today.
