Streetinvestor2:The problem with you all is that you insult contrary opinions rather than ask questions. You also bring partisan politics into economic discussions and only want your voice heard. How can I vote in a man who couldn’t explain how he will solve the power problem or even any national issue at all. Peter Obi to me, is not any different from Buhari. Both have supposed integrity, but are unfortunately clueless. I made the mistake of being fooled due to twitter noise and voting him in last election. Glad he lost anyway. BTW, you don’t have monopoly on insults. |

Olaide1295:It seems you are the APC agent sent to monitor this NSEMPA group because you hardly comment about any other thing here until someone speaks ill of the government. Please tell me, in what ways has PBAT made the life of an average Nigerian better than it was before 2023? Or there's no need to retrospect we should just accept that 8 years is automatic? |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Valthegreat(m): 10:08pm On Jun 25 |
Olaide1295:Please tell us what did Tinubu explain in 2023 as how he will solve the power problem and also the economic problems before you voted him, even now that you want to vote him again, how did he say he will solve any of the problems? |

Valthegreat:There is a difference between 2023 and 2027. The truth is that Tinubu has raised the bar, and we are now talking about his second term. We have seen what he did and is doing in his first term, and honestly, we like quite a lot of it: - Subsidy removal - Liberalisation of forex - Tax reform - Capital market rebound (investor confidence) - Nigeria rated B+ – two steps higher than 2023 - Seven banks rated B+ – two steps higher than 2023 - Companies making huge profits after paying staff well - Airline issues resolution - Oil and gas sector reforms (Shell's new $20 billion investment) - NELFUND - LG Autonomy - Lagos–Sokoto Highway - Lagos–Calabar Highway - MMIA reconstruction - Regional commissions in all geopolitical zones - Electricity devolution and decentralisation bill - MREIF 20‑year mortgage scheme with single‑digit interest - Power: estimated billing removal (more stable power in progress) - State Police Anyone who wants to ask him not to continue must be ready to tell us what they will do differently from what Tinubu is doing (and will hopefully continue). For example: Are you bringing subsidy back? Are you cancelling NELFUND or stopping the two highways? If you can't tell us, then don't come out. I am sure we will see a landslide even greater than the Ekiti elections in the 2027 presidential election. |

Be calming down. How has all these things you quoted helped the masses? Be honest to your CONSCIENCE ghm: |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by mikeapollo: 9:07am On Jun 26 |
Agbalowomeri:This kind of political gimmick would be severely rejected as vote buying (i.e. an insult and a means to induce voters) and punished at the elections by voting against the govt. But here in Nigeria, don't be surprised that many people may vote for the govt because of this, |

megawealth01:I am an ordinary Nigerian, one of the masses o. It helped me a little – specific things I don't want to mention. I may not like the president, but I love the country. We are not there yet, but things are looking up, and the usual hopelessness is slowly reducing. |

megawealth01:They are all good policy reforms if we are being honest. Just that the first two impacted the masses too negatively, so the effects of others aren't being felt much. However, most gains will be realized in due time if we stay on course. Oil and gas folks, for instance, will agree that Tinubu's reforms have increased activity in the sector, better pay, and created more jobs across the industry and other sectors. Qualified people are actually keying into the single-digit MREIF affordable mortgages, becoming first-time homeowners within 3-6 months, depending on how fast you complete the due diligence. You can access up to 100m depending on your earnings. Google and know more about it. And this isn't hearsay. |

| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Oasisblue: 9:33am On Jun 26 |
Wow. So NELFUND hasnt helped indigent students? The boom we experienced on the NGX before the recent slump was due to these bold economic reforms. Are you saying the masses dont have cause ti travel on the parts of the Lagos-Calabar coastal road completed so far? Any government that took the bold economic and infrastrural development steps earlier listed cant be said to be 'doing nothing'. Lets be sincere to our conscience. While majority of these steps may not have translated into bettter life for the citizens, lets consider the scenario if we have continued with the Buharinomics- borrowing to pay fuel subsidies(an amount surpassing annual budget for health and education), using 97% of revenues to service debts, CBN printing currencies and practically runnign a parallel govt in a govt and having a dual-exchange rate that turned loafers with connections to overnight billionaires via financial round -tripping. We were on the verge of national bankrupcy a la Argentina, Greece and Ghana. megawealth01: |
