Oasisblue:Now I understand the view you are speaking from, you are just being selfish only because the stock exchange preserved your funds from going down the drain via hyper inflation and you think you are making money? You don't even deserve my response because if you are buying diesel at #1,900 per liter like me to run your business you won't be writing this. Oga if all Nigerians sell off their production businesses and bring the funds to NGX you will not have any company again to invest in so start reasoning the economy generally and not just about your earnings. Secondly, all your NELFUND can't be paid back because those graduates will have to get jobs to pay back and if they can't pay back the project will become unsustainable. Definitely, the days of cheap populism economy are gone (but currently only for the masses) we need a leadership that will be willing to sacrifice alongside the masses so that we reset the country for the benefit of all, that's the only way countries with meagre resources has ever grown in history e.g Japan and China. Huge resources in the midst of corruption also is a monumental disaster e.g Venezuela. |

I noticed something about the super wealthy investors which you should adopt, 1. They don't try to sell at the top or buy at the bottom. Eg our own billionaires here Oga Emma bought wapco 330 when he could have waited to buy lower today By the way I hope all is well with the billionaire Oga Emma, it's been a while here2. They can sell at a lower price provided they have spotted another amazing opportunity to move funds to (fertile ground). Eg director that sold Dan cement at 850 only God knows where he moved the fund to and the expected returns 3. They are not bothered about volatility once their seed is planted in fertile ground because they are always playing the long term game. 4. They usually just have more wins than loses and with that they are good. Eg how many of you still remembers that Oga Tony bought UBA right at 50 and it's trading below 40 now that is massive 20% loss that should be in billions but seplat win has more than compensated for it and he has not sold remember so nothing lost in real terms. |

Oasisblue:The stock market has been booming long before Tinubu became president, partly because of better investor education, enlightenment etc. and the devaluation of the naira over the years has also influenced more people to find a way to invest their money in stocks, bonds etc. instead of keeping it inside the bank with little or no interest, to hedge against inflation etc. The market will still boom after Tinubu is no longer the president because there is huge potential. By the way, every 1000 you make in the NGX right now is the equivalent v=worth of about N200 a few years ago! Prices have increased, so your N1000 of today may not even buy what N200 used to buy. I was shocked when I heard that a bottle of groundnut is now N1,800-N2000. Something that was N300-N350 just a few years ago |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Oasisblue: 3:52pm On Jun 26 |
Lol. Try harder. Even after factoring devaluation of the Naira, the NGX done has done quite well and surpassed expectations. I know it is an anathema to you to give any credit to this govt, which reinforces my believe that your stance is borne out of hateful sentiments than hard facts. mikeapollo: |

| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Oasisblue: 3:55pm On Jun 26 |
And the point of this infograph is what? Its Tinubu's 3 years that put Nigeria at Nos 14 on the list you shared? Or his 3 years should have lifted us to surpass South Africa and Morocco in indistrialization? megawealth01: |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by mikeapollo: 3:59pm On Jun 26 |
Oasisblue:So you want praises for a govt that pushed hundreds of millions (majority) into hardship, poverty and hunger plus insecurity, killing of people by bandits etc. just because a few thousands of people (minority) are making money in the stock market? So when people tell you that there is hardship and insecurity in the country, you would tell them that the stock boom is the panacea or solution? Even in our families or villages, how many people are in the stock market? |

megawealth01: reallyJust like some people are just shareholders not investors. Shareholders will just marry a stock because it's cheap, buying and buying hoping that it will magically increase in price even when the fundamentals are getting worse. The more they buy the more price gets lower and the tighter they hold. Shareholders ![]() |
