Guys, please I need your advice. The transmission of my Rx350 2013 is slipping. I took it for a scan and it threw up fault code P0715 (input Turbine/speed control sensor A). I've taken it to that gear master and he's going to open the gearbox tomorrow. We've checked the wire harness for any possible damage and even changed the PCM but it keeps throwing the same fault code. In fact, we changed the brain box of the car just to be sure that nothing is wrong with the ECU. I just did an oil change on the transmission. The gear master seems certain that it's the sensor, hence, he will be opening it tomorrow. Do I really need to be worried? Is it a minor fix? Kindly advice. |

good evening house please, my es330, once I engage the gear from neutral to drive, there is always a violent jerk. the issue started 3 days ago. I checked the atf and discovered it was low. I have topped up with 1 liter of atf, but issue persists. the check engine light is not on on my car. what could be wrong please? |
| Re: Club-Lexus by Lexusgs430: 2:17am On May 21 |
234GT:Your jerk issue could be caused by a host of reasons from...... Degraded transmission/ low transmission fluid, faulty valve body/solenoid, or failing drivetrain mounts........ Ensure you use recommended Lexus approved atf fluid (not cheap red wine variants)...... |

Geekels:Good morning sir. Vehicle: Lexus ES350 2011 Concern: Traction Control light + Check Engine light came on after exceeding 80 mph Let’s address this properly before unnecessary parts are replaced or the issue worsen * Professional Diagnostic Insight From your explanation: • Vehicle was driving perfectly normally • Traction control light and check engine light appeared suddenly at higher speed • No noticeable drivability issue afterward • Two tires are badly worn Yes — your worn tires can absolutely contribute to this issue, especially on Lexus/Toyota stability systems. * Important Observation Your Lexus uses an integrated system involving: • ABS • Traction Control (TRAC) • Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) • Engine Management System These systems constantly compare: • Wheel speed • Steering angle • Engine torque • Vehicle stability If one wheel rotates differently due to: • Uneven tire wear • Different tire size • Poor traction …the system may interpret it as: Wheel slip or traction loss. That can trigger: • Traction control light • Check engine light • Stability intervention warnings * Possible Causes (Based on Your Symptoms) 1, Uneven or Severely Worn Tires (Very Possible) This is especially likely if: • Front and rear tires have uneven wear • Tire circumference differs significantly At higher speed: The wheel speed sensors detect inconsistent rotation speeds. 2, Wheel Speed Sensor Sensitivity A weak or dirty ABS sensor may only act up at higher speeds. 3, Pending Engine Fault Code Sometimes: • Misfire • Air/fuel issue • EVAP issue …can trigger the check engine light, and the traction system automatically disables itself as a protective measure. That is why: On many Toyota/Lexus vehicles, a check engine light can also trigger traction/VSC warnings simultaneously. 4, Alignment or Suspension Instability If the tires are badly worn: • Alignment may already be affected • Stability system becomes more sensitive at highway speed. * What Should Be Checked Now Before panicking: 1, Scan the Vehicle Properly This is the first and most important step. Retrieve: • Engine fault codes • ABS/VSC codes • Pending codes 2, Replace the Worn Tires Very important. Ensure: • Matching tire sizes • Similar tread depth • Proper balancing 3, Inspect Wheel Speed Sensors Check for: • Dirt buildup • Damaged wiring • Weak sensor readings 4, Perform Alignment Check Especially after replacing tires. * Do NOT Do This • Do NOT ignore the warning lights because the car still “drives fine” • Do NOT continue high-speed driving on badly worn tires • Do NOT clear codes without identifying the cause • Do NOT mix incorrect tire sizes on Lexus stability systems * Professional Insight The fact that: • The issue appeared at higher speed • And the car still drives normally …suggests this may still be: An early detection/stability-related issue rather than a major engine or transmission failure. However, badly worn tires can absolutely affect: • Wheel speed readings • Vehicle stability calculations • Traction control operation So your tires should not be ignored. * Ryan Automotive Limited Recommendation The next step should be a structured diagnostic scan and stability system inspection, focusing on: • ABS/VSC fault analysis • Wheel speed sensor data • Tire condition verification • Live stability data monitoring At Ryan Automotive Limited, we carry out professional Lexus/Toyota diagnostics and fault tracing to properly identify whether the issue is tire-related, sensor-related, or an underlying engine management fault. Early diagnosis prevents unnecessary replacement and helps maintain safe high-speed driving stability. Precision • Transparency • Excellence Ryan Automotive Limited |

234GT:Good morning sir. Vehicle: Lexus ES330 (Automatic) Concern: Violent jerk when shifting from Neutral (N) to Drive (D) Let’s address this properly before unnecessary gearbox replacement or guessing begins. * Professional Diagnostic Insight From your explanation: • The vehicle jerks violently when engaging Drive • Issue started suddenly about 3 days ago • You discovered the ATF level was low • You topped up 1 liter of ATF • Problem still persists • No check engine light present The low transmission fluid is a very important clue here. Transmission fluid is not just “oil” — it is the hydraulic pressure system that controls gear engagement. Once fluid level drops: • Hydraulic pressure becomes unstable • Gear engagement becomes harsh • Delayed or violent shifting can occur * Important Observation The fact that: • The issue started recently • And fluid was already low …strongly suggests there may already be: A pressure imbalance or internal hydraulic stress. Also, adding fluid does not always immediately solve the problem if: • Fluid level is still incorrect • Wrong ATF type was used • Air entered the hydraulic system • Or internal wear has already begun. * Most Likely Causes 1, Incorrect Transmission Fluid Level Very common after topping up. Too low OR too high can both cause: • Harsh engagement • Jerking • Pressure instability Transmission fluid must be checked: At proper operating temperature and procedure. 2, Transmission Mount Wear A weak or broken mount can amplify engagement shock and make the jerk feel extremely violent. 3, Valve Body / Pressure Control Issue Low fluid may have exposed: • Sticky solenoids • Pressure regulator issues • Valve body wear 4, Internal Clutch or Hydraulic Wear (Early Stage) If the vehicle was driven for some time with low fluid: Internal clutch stress may already be developing. * What Should Be Checked Now Before anyone recommends gearbox replacement: 1, Recheck ATF Level Properly Very important. The fluid should be checked: • At operating temperature • On level ground • Using correct Lexus/Toyota procedure 2, Confirm Correct ATF Type Was Used Wrong ATF specification can worsen shift quality. 3, Inspect for Transmission Leaks You need to identify: Why the fluid became low in the first place. Check: • Cooler lines • Axle seals • Transmission pan area 4, Inspect Engine & Transmission Mounts Especially if the jerk feels physically heavy. 5. Perform Professional Transmission Scan Even without check engine light, there may still be: • Pending transmission codes • Pressure irregularities • Solenoid response issues * Do NOT Do This • Do NOT continue forcing harsh gear engagement repeatedly • Do NOT keep topping fluid blindly • Do NOT allow random mechanics to start dismantling the gearbox immediately • Do NOT ignore the leak source * Professional Insight Your transmission is showing signs of: Hydraulic engagement instability. The low fluid was likely the first warning sign. If attended to early, this may still be resolved through: • Proper fluid correction • Leak repair • Valve body attention • Mount replacement if necessary But if ignored: It can progress into clutch damage and major transmission failure. * Ryan Automotive Limited Recommendation The correct next step is a structured transmission diagnostic process, focusing on: • Proper ATF level verification • Leak inspection • Transmission pressure behavior • Solenoid and valve body analysis • Mount inspection At Ryan Automotive Limited, we carry out professional Lexus/Toyota transmission diagnostics and hydraulic pressure analysis to accurately identify the root cause before unnecessary repairs or gearbox replacement. Early diagnosis can save you a major rebuild cost. Precision • Transparency • Excellence Ryan Automotive Limited |

Lexusgs430:Thank you very much sir. My rewire fixed the issue today. He raised the car up at the driver side and according to him, separated two wires which are making contact under the transmission. The issue stopped totally. He didn't buy anything. I suspect he worked on the neutral safety switch wiring. I'm 100% fine now. |

Pls my es 350 keeps showing that my vehicle speed sensor has fault. My mechanic keeps telling me it's nothing. Pls which technician will be in the best place resolve this for me. |
| Re: Club-Lexus by Louiscars: 7:37pm On May 21 |
Elui2:Is that what the fault code says on the scan tool or are you referring to the check Vsc message on the cluster when you start up the car ? |
| Re: Club-Lexus by Elui2(m): 4:29pm On May 22 |
That's what TBF scan tool says after scanning Louiscars: |
| Re: Club-Lexus by Louiscars: 7:42pm On May 22 |
Elui2:Ok can you share the fault code, is your speedometer working also and lastly does the car shift well without flaring, ( by shifting I’m referring to the gearbox movement) |
| Re: Club-Lexus by RyanAutomotive: 8:58pm On May 22 |
Elui2:Good evening sir. Vehicle: Lexus ES350 Concern: Repeated Vehicle Speed Sensor fault warning/code Let’s address this properly before it starts affecting the transmission or stability systems seriously. * Professional Diagnostic Insight A Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) fault is not something that should simply be ignored. The speed sensor is very important because it helps the vehicle calculate: • Gear shifting timing • ABS operation • Traction control • Vehicle stability control • Speedometer readings • Engine and transmission communication So if your ES350 keeps showing a speed sensor fault: • The vehicle is detecting unstable or incorrect speed data somewhere in the system. * Important Observation Many Toyota/Lexus vehicles may still drive “normally” at the early stage of a speed sensor issue. That is why some mechanics say: “It’s nothing.” But over time, it can begin to cause: • Hard shifting • Delayed shifting • ABS/VSC lights • Gear hunting • Incorrect speedometer readings • Transmission fail-safe mode * Most Likely Causes 1, Faulty Vehicle Speed Sensor The sensor itself may be weak or intermittently failing. 2, Damaged Wiring or Connector Very common on older Lexus models. Possible issues: • Broken wiring • Corrosion • Loose connector • Poor grounding 3, ABS Wheel Speed Sensor Problem On Lexus vehicles, wheel speed sensor faults can sometimes trigger VSS-related warnings. 4, Transmission Signal Communication Issue The transmission module may not be receiving stable speed information. 5, Tone Ring / Hub Bearing Issue A damaged reluctor ring can distort wheel speed readings. • What Should Be Checked Now Before replacing anything: 1, Perform a professional scan and retrieve the exact fault code. Examples: • P0500 • P0503 • ABS-related wheel speed codes The exact code matters greatly 2, Carry out live data monitoring. Check: • Wheel speed readings • Transmission output speed • Sensor synchronization 3, Inspect the wiring and connectors physically. Especially around: • Wheel hubs • Transmission area • ABS connectors 4, Verify ABS and traction control system condition. * Do NOT Do This • Do NOT ignore repeated speed sensor faults • Do NOT keep clearing codes without diagnosis • Do NOT replace random sensors blindly • Do NOT wait until transmission symptoms begin * Professional Insight The vehicle speed signal is one of the most important data inputs used by the ECU and gearbox. A faulty speed signal may appear small initially, but eventually it can affect: • Transmission performance • Stability systems • Driving safety The good news is: Most cases are usually related to: • Sensor failure • Wiring problems • ABS signal irregularities —not major gearbox damage. * Ryan Automotive Limited Recommendation The correct approach is a structured electronic and transmission signal diagnosis, focusing on: • Exact fault code analysis • Live speed data monitoring • Sensor signal testing • ABS and transmission communication verification At Ryan Automotive Limited, we carry out professional Lexus/Toyota diagnostics and fault tracing to accurately determine whether the issue is from the sensor, wiring, ABS system, or transmission communication network. Proper diagnosis now can prevent more expensive transmission-related problems later. Precision • Transparency • Excellence Ryan Automotive Limited |

| Re: Club-Lexus by Felakezman(m): 1:31pm On Jun 25 |
Good morning house pls I need help on my lexus rx350 2010 model...here is the scan result..pls help a brother out
|
| Re: Club-Lexus by RyanAutomotive: 2:07pm On Jun 25 |
Felakezman:Good afternoon sir. Vehicle: Lexus RX350 2010 Scan Results: • C1201 – Engine/EV Control System Malfunction • U0073 – Control Module Communication Bus Off • U0100 – Lost Communication With ECM/PCM • U0123 – Lost Communication With Yaw Rate Sensor Module • U0124 – Lost Communication With Lateral Acceleration Sensor Module • U0126 – Lost Communication With Steering Angle Sensor Module Let’s address this properly before replacing modules unnecessarily. * What These Codes Are Telling Us The most important code here is actually: U0073 – Control Module Communication Bus Off This means the vehicle’s communication network (CAN Bus) is experiencing a communication failure. Think of the CAN Bus as the vehicle’s internal internet network. Modules such as: • Engine ECU (ECM) • ABS Module • Steering Angle Sensor • Yaw Rate Sensor • Stability Control System all communicate through this network. When communication is interrupted, multiple modules begin reporting communication-related faults. That is exactly what your scan report is showing. * Important Observation Notice that most of the codes are not saying: “Sensor Failed” Instead they are saying: “Lost Communication With…” That is a very different diagnosis. Many technicians make the mistake of replacing sensors when the actual problem is: • Weak battery voltage • Charging system issue • Faulty ABS module • Damaged CAN wiring • Poor grounding • Water intrusion • Faulty ECU communication * What Should Be Checked First 1, Battery and Charging System This is the first thing I would check. A weak battery or unstable charging voltage can trigger multiple communication codes simultaneously. Check: • Battery health • Alternator charging voltage • Battery terminal condition 2, Clear Codes and Rescan After battery verification: • Clear all faults • Perform a road test • Rescan the vehicle This helps identify which codes are returning and which are historical. 3, Inspect ABS/VSC System The Yaw Rate Sensor, Lateral Acceleration Sensor, and Steering Angle Sensor are all closely related to the: • ABS System • VSC (Vehicle Stability Control) A fault in the ABS module itself can cause several communication faults to appear. 4, Check CAN Bus Wiring Inspect for: • Damaged wiring • Corrosion • Poor grounds • Water damage • Loose connectors Especially around: • ABS module • Engine ECU • Fuse box areas 5, Verify Engine ECU Communication Since U0100 is present: Lost Communication With ECM/PCM The Engine Control Module must be properly tested. Without stable communication from the ECM, several systems can stop functioning normally. * Do NOT Do This • Do NOT replace the ECU immediately. • Do NOT replace all the sensors listed. • Do NOT buy an ABS module based on assumptions. • Do NOT allow anyone to start rewiring the vehicle blindly. These codes require proper network diagnostics first. * Professional Insight Looking at this scan report, I am not yet seeing evidence of a failed steering angle sensor, yaw sensor, or lateral acceleration sensor. What I am seeing is a vehicle that has lost communication across multiple control modules. When multiple communication codes appear together, the root cause is often: • Power supply issue • Ground issue • CAN network issue • ABS module issue • ECU communication issue not six separate component failures. * Ryan Automotive Limited Recommendation The next step should be a structured network communication diagnosis involving: • Professional computerized diagnostic scan • Battery and charging system testing • CAN Bus network analysis • ABS module communication testing • ECU communication verification • Power and ground circuit inspection At Ryan Automotive Limited, we would first determine why the communication network is failing before recommending any module replacement. If you are within Lagos or can bring the vehicle down, Ryan Automotive Limited can carry out a comprehensive diagnostic assessment to identify the exact source of the communication fault and prevent unnecessary spending on sensors and modules that may not be faulty. Even if you’re coming from outside Lagos, we attend to vehicles from different locations and would be glad to assist. Precision • Transparency • Excellence Ryan Automotive Limited |
