if this cheap scammer put effort he's putting in his scamming schemes, if he put such effort in domaining, learning, reading and running researchs, he would have made alot of sales. Sure his cup will full one day.

Thought I should leave this here for those who might find it useful.

If you haven't started using AI for aspects of your domaining business, consider doing so. We've heard about how AI is coming for our jobs - it has practically "killed" my previous online gigs. So, we may as well see what we can get out of it. cool

One of the ways you can adopt AI is for your domain research or selection process. Many of us have limited budget for acquiring new domains while there may be numerous domains calling for our attention. We can use AI to simplify this process.

One approach I started using this year is to ask ChatGPT to rate my shortlisted domains on a scale - for example, on a scale of 5 (could be 10 or any one else you prefer) - based on their resell potential. The tool will provide ratings for the domains and reasons for them. It may also suggest prices.

You then run some (or all) of the same domains through Grok and also add that it should provide valuations for the domains. It may be better to use Grok integration in X because I found it sometimes cite comparable sales reported there. You could ask it to provide both quick-flip and retail price ranges.

Finally, compare both the ChatGPT and Grok responses to determine the domains that probably has the most potential. Please note that you still need to use your own intuition or experience to select some domains that these tools may occasionally rate low.

I hope someone finds this helpful.

The guy is not a cheap scammer o! He has scammed alot of persons on Nairaland of huge sums of money.

Just do a search of his number on Nairaland, you will be amazed the number of complaints spanning across diverse threads.

what baffles me is how he is able to be in so many threads that has to do with money, buying or selling

The day he will be caught, you will now find out he/she has no parent or parent is very sick or extremely poor, they will begin to beg

This guy has caused alot of peeps pain on nairaland

It's been a while, congratulations to recent sellers

Tried outbound but no sales?
Maybe it's not your email... maybe it's your leads.

I can manually scrape quality leads from GMaps, Google page, Facebook & Instagram all for just ₦3k per domain.

Has anybody here ever tried to build a website on a domain name and flip it via outbound instead of just doing bare domain flipping?

Or do you know anybody who has tried it before and succeeded?
Tried to do it with my domain (although not the flipping part) which I now want to wholesale. My colleague who was one of Naija top web developer and programmer laid a solid plan before me and pitched the domain. Said let's merge funds, secure the name and build. Man touched a little $ so I said "whatever would go wrong?!"

Pulled the tri.gger and contributed low 6figs in ₦ for the name. Few weeks later, he started making travel plans and opted out of our initial agreement, even demanded I refund him even up to 50%. He never had money problems so nothing made sense to me. Things got heated for a while but as the calmest guy that I am, I settled him 100% as I hate issues. I like peace but better for you to declare war so I know we're going all out than this sort. Little issues irritate me.

Domain now in hand with no plans to build, I decided to sell. That was when I started posting it here. Got different offers of ₦150k and ₦80k from here but I declined. Did I regret? No! Was trying to recover my funds even if not fully.
After some time, I reached back to come up a bit but it seemed they were no longer interested so I moved on myself. I hate bothering people. I started to contact people to do one or two things on the domain someone to salvage what was left. Someone from here absconded with a part payment I already made for his services which made me call him out here before he refunded with apologies citing personal issues.

Do I now regret not selling earlier? Definitely! But that's part of life and business. If it doesn't sell, I'll definitely renew.
That is the end of my story.

In summary, selling is the easiest part. Have clear plans before building and if it's a joint venture, make sure you're the one pitching the idea and also grounded in web Dev and those stuff before going in. If not you go pay for services until they kingdom come and you may not get value for your money.

I come in peace!

Six figures for a non-english SLD ?? No way your target market was non-nigerians.

You could have gone for Molowo.ng and upgrade after your project succeeds. Why would I even make refund to the person who pitched the domain to me? You sure say him never run you street?

Good lessons have been learnt. All the best bro.

Have you thought of reaching out to the fintech mowo? I see their ads everywhere here.

Even though theirs is better and shorter, you can still see if you can convince them to get yours for a redirect, brand protection, etc,. But be ready to accept anything they offer, even if it's $100 or $50.
I think they're one of your best shots.

Or simply renew, remove your mind from it, and see it as some random 6 letters cvcvcv. And nothing special.
If it's sells fine. It may eventually sell. Just be ready to hold.
All the best.

Update on this:

DreamHost reached out to me, when I told them I'm never gonna register a domain name with them since they don't do free domain push like other registrars.

They said they can do the free internal transfer/ push for me, lol.

So technically, they allow domain push but only on request.

I see them as the most generous registrar, with the way they are dashing free registration up and down.

A Toyota ads once said: Good Thinking; Good Product. In Japanese they say: Yo shinai, Yo kangai

The more you stay put in this game, the more you learn. Haven't made any sale this year but my learning curve has been growing astronomically and i am getting replies much frequently from my outbound than ever before.

One thing i learnt last week is selling value. If the business owners are not giving you the attention you need, give them more value.

As you can see from the image below, the target/potential buyer is in the dog niche in a city with 1m population in the US.

In my first email to her, she responded that she is interested. I'll send her the next email which is what i screenshot-ed.

Notice something:
1. I am selling a domain
2. I am also selling a Google Business reviews service
3. I am also offering to write some SEO optimized articles for her to use on her blog and her GMB profile.

If this is a business that is struggling to with views and customers, why won't she give it a try?

All these for less than $300. I no try?

Anyway, lets see how it goes.

OGs in the house, what do you think about this?

Let us know how this goes, if you're able to secure a deal from the end user.

If this had an English reference like the man who sold kokonut.com, you would have at least had a fighting chance.
