Oga, the simple thing we are asking is this: we have seen what Tinubu has done and has not done so far. Now, we are asking anyone who wants to come in to replace him to tell us what they will do differently in the next four years, and how. That way, we can choose between them and Tinubu. Otherwise, they should wait till 2031 – we don't want to enter one chance again.
But Tinubu has done nothing besides killing the country economy and unimaginable insecurity. So as it stands now he is not an option or you want Nigerians to be dropping dead in thr houses because u think you are making chicken change on ngx
If Bill of 10m hit you now as per hospital or ransom. You family go dey social media dey beg

The only rationale I can give for people buying OANDO is that they have a thing for losing money
What do people buying access have because I can't place it.

Peter Obi is actually the most clueless among the array of leading candidates.

It is shocking to me that a region of Nigeria that has produced globally acclaimed intellectuals have no netter person than Obi to fly their flag. How anyone can listen to Obi speak and conclude this is the man I want for President baffles me.
Talk is cheap grin

The major problem of Nigeria is not policy or revenue but WASTE of the available resources.

The National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) has appointed *Ernst & Young (EY)* as Consulting Actuary to help finalise and roll out Nigeria’s *Risk-Based Capital (RBC) framework*.

*Why it matters*:
1. *Regulatory shift*: NAICOM is moving the insurance sector from a flat capital rule to a risk-based supervisory regime. Capital requirements will now match each insurer’s specific risk profile.
2. *Goal*: Strengthen financial stability and boost policyholder protection across the industry.
3. *Timing*: This comes after new legislation and the ongoing Minimum Capital Requirement (MCR) recapitalisation exercise. The RBC rollout will align with the completion of that MCR exercise.

*What EY will do*:
- Provide technical support to speed up implementation
- Strengthen NAICOM’s internal actuarial and supervisory capacity
- Help ensure the final framework is robust, transparent, and fit for Nigeria’s market.

*Next steps NAICOM mentioned*:
Quantitative Impact Studies (QIS) and industry-wide data collection in the coming weeks. That data will be used to recalibrate key parameters before the final RBC framework + regulatory guidelines are issued.

NAICOM Commissioner Olusegun Ayo Omosehin said the shift is “aimed at strengthening financial stability and enhancing policyholder protection across the industry”.

Where Nigeria’s insurance recapitalisation stands right now.

*Headline points*:

*1. Final stretch of recapitalisation*
The industry is in the “final and critical weeks” to meet the *July 2026 deadline* under the *Nigerian Insurance Industry Reform Act (NIIRA) 2025*. NAICOM has said the deadline is backed by law and won’t be extended.

*New minimum capital thresholds under NIIRA 2025*:
- *Life insurance*: N10 billion
- *Non-life*: N15 billion
- *Composite*: N25 billion
- *Reinsurance*: N35 billion

*2. Incoming NIA Chairman’s agenda*
*Mrs. Ebelechukwu Nwachukwu*, who becomes the 27th NIA Chairman on *July 3, 2026*, says bank-insurance-fintech partnerships are key to growing penetration.

Her 3 focus areas:
- *Strategic partnerships*: Link with banks, fintechs, microfinance to distribute insurance, especially digitally
- *Simplify insurance*: Make products + claims easier to understand to rebuild public trust
- *Stronger NIA advisory role*: Help members comply and engage government on the new Act.

She also warned: _“Recapitalisation will strengthen balance sheets, but without the technical expertise to manage larger and more complex risks, the sector will not achieve sustainable growth”_.

*3. Market reality now*
- It’s the “pressure phase” with insurers doing rights issues, private placements, mergers, or acquisitions.
- NAICOM says it won’t let any licensed firm collapse and is supporting weaker ones via restructuring, mergers or acquisitions.
- A “flight to quality” is already happening, with big corporate clients moving to larger insurers they believe can survive.

*What’s next*: Capital verification runs to June 30, 2026, with final compliance by July 30 2026.

Vfd group or Japaul? Which should i load more?
you should study those two companies fundamentals to make a long term investment decision however if you looking to take a swing trade. By my technical analysis, Expect Japaul to dip even further as there is still volume of money left from May rally, lots of investors thought, it was a slight dip for Japaul and that it will recover, sadly we lost japaul to the deeper dip last week Wednesday after it was hit by ASI weakness, may his soul rest in peace.

Vfd group was actually on the path of recovery but the collapse of ASI and the lingering fear in the market is holding it back and it's now consolidating. Same consolidation that struck Sterling bank and Jaizbank for weeks is happening to vdf group now.

Between April 2025 and May 2026, the ASI did over 140% —that's the ASI (the index) not a listed equity. In advance economies, they celebrate whenever there's annual index increase of 15 to 20 % on a consistent basis. Nigeria index did almost 150% within a year or thereabout. The index is bound to correct. You can start to average down good companies or sell some stocks now for cash or source for cash elsewhere to buy when a trend reversal is confirmed. Otherwise, you can close your app, and check back around Sept/Oct/November—the ASI may rebound around 180 - 200k

Do your own research—due diligence is advised

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by megawealth01: 4:08pm On Jun 27
BE KIND. YOU NEVER KNOW.

A young man once argued fiercely with a stranger on social media. He mocked him, insulted his ideas, and made sure everyone online saw the exchange. He felt like he had won.

Months later, he applied for a job at a company he had always admired. During the interview, he recognized one of the executives sitting across the table - it was the same man he had humiliated online.

The interview was professional but the opportunity was gone before it truly began.

Life has a way of bringing people back into our path.

Make more friends than enemies, especially online. Behind every profile is a real person. Today's unknown follower could become tomorrow's employer, client, business partner, investor or someone with the power to open a door you've been praying for.

Not every disagreement deserves a fight. Not every opinion requires a harsh response. You can stand for what you believe without tearing someone else down.

Choose your words carefully. Protect your reputation. Be known for wisdom, not hostility.

Be kind.

You never know who you're talking to.

You never know where you'll meet them again.

Nothing. Don’t worry. As I said earlier, it is finished. Slavery was justified, and the millions of African Americans facing systemic racism deserve it. Caucasians were the ones discriminated against.👌 It’s not easy to be a Nigerian MAGAt. grin
