Martartins:I am not a Tinubu supporter but this type of language is totally reprehensible and unacceptable.. have some decorum and criticize with civility |

SonofElElyonRet:The same civility that brought dullards into office..... |

Don't bother yourself about them. They did worse than this in 2023. They will cry again. SonofElElyonRet: |

Martartins:Take it easy my brother..... Everyone has the right to vote and be voted, even some people will happily vote a bandit if placed on the ballot papers, that's democracy. As we canvass for our candidates, let's tame our tongues. There is no pride in we demeaning one another because we want our candidate to enter by force. In the long run, No single individual has the best manual for turning around the fortune of our country for good |

SonofElElyonRet:I agree with you in principle! But the issue is, Tinubu himself was not civil when he was in opposition criticizing past govts. He called a sitting president a "drunken fisherman" which is an apparent reference to Jonathan and his kindmen, who were mostly fishermen by tradition. |

GeeKudi:I see people use this phrase and wonder how you differentiate yourself from those crying and those smiling. As far as you don't benefit directly from any government in power, everyone will be affected by the good and bad state of the nation |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Greattom: 4:19pm On Jun 28 |
Pesuzok:You don't know this people are very useless, they believe in their power of rigging and they own the courts thats why they will always tell you that you can only Cry, and there is nothing you can do about it. |

Which is the reason many sensible Nigerians are going to ensure a numbskull like Obi never smells Aso Rock as things will be worse for us all. Pesuzok: |

Peterlove11:Oga, don't twist my words. I am not against democratic principles, but when you insult my candidate and yours is not proving that he is better, it is thought provoking....So aura for aura. America will not be where it is today without the vision of one man. It usually start with one person whether it is Obi or not, but definitely not Balablu |

Can we please go back to discussing the stock market, money and Economics? All these political brickbats are not rewarding, and no side is going to convince the other to change their political stance. |

crownprince2017:If you are in a contest with an opponent and you know your opponent's weakest point you won't accept to release your solutions for your opponent to copy. I think that's why both Peter Obi and Atiku will find it hard to release their solutions. Also, since some Nigerians can vote for Tinubu just for saying 'bala blu' and all sort of planned gibirish in 2023, it simply means it is no longer an intellectual contest. The weakest point of these Lagos band of kleptomaniacs is that Lagos has enough resources that can go round the politicians and you will still have enough funds for visible work via more tax or even borrowing. Moreover, a lot of infrastructure are already in place in Lagos and most of the businesses in Nigeria are headquartered in Lagos yielding tax revenue to Lagos so it is easy to make money in Lagos. So applying the same strategy that has seemed excellent for Lagos so far to Nigeria as a whole is the reason for the monumental failure. Nigeria has meagre resources so if you want to loot and still do some projects it will only result in massive borrowing which is what we are witnessing. Anybody that lived his whole life in Lagos can not understand Nigeria not to talk of leading the country effectively. I that came from the south and have lived in the north each time I buy fuel at #1,300 per liter or gas at #1,700 per Kg what usually comes to my is 'how are people in the north surviving'? As an Economist I have been supporting total deregulation since Jonathan's days but borrowing Nigeria's present and future upon deregulation just to share to politicians instead of investing same in projects with capacity to repay the debts in the future is total economic rape that will hunt this country for decades to come. |

Valthegreat:You are absolutely right about the misuse and looting of the resources. However, "Total Deregulation" is an invitation to total disaster in a inefficient environment or market for a product that has inelastic demand. It does not help any developing country. What is required is supervised deregulation, with the govt still supervising some aspects of the pricing regime for petroleum products e.g. fees, taxes, margins etc you up |

Why is jagaban looking for 2027 as if na follow come powerbank when his first tenure is still on going without any known impact on the living condition of the masses as he promised to let them 🫁? |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Valthegreat(m): 6:58pm On Jun 28 |
Oasisblue:I have a friend that is a member of you people's Whatsapp group also, I am aware that you people were only asked to focus on Obi because he is the only major threat to Tinubu as he won the 2023 elections but was rigged out. But guy you are over doing it, Obi is not the only contestant here. Remember Atiku is also contesting, the only mistake both has made is not coming together under one ticket, you all would have been shitting on your pants by now. The strategy I believe Nigerians should apply to extract respect from these crop of wicked politicians is to remove anyone that fails after 4 years and vote in another until we get it right, if not they all will continue to see the masses as dumb. |

Let's say the market goes down another 15-20%. What are people's highest conviction names for a rebound? I'll throw one out: WAPCO: Cement demand and price aren't abating; capacity expansion on the horizon; still trading at low teens multiple. |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Oasisblue: 7:30pm On Jun 28 |
The minister has called for a slashing of cement price. HesInMe: |

WAPCO will be heavily affected too HesInMe: |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by megawealth01: 9:34pm On Jun 28 |
A forced reduction in cement prices would likely be negative for WAPCO in the short term because lower selling prices can reduce profit margins, which may put pressure on the share price. However, if cheaper cement boosts construction demand and sales volumes increase enough to offset the lower prices, the impact could become neutral or even positive over the longer term. Expect short-term pressure and volatility while the long-term effect will depend on how much prices are cut and whether sales volumes increase. |
