MTNN is down 10% to ₦747, wiping off ₦83 per share in ongoing session.
When a ₦17.4 trillion giant is locked at the floor, the whole market feels it.

Lol Obi is a major challenger to Tinubu in 2027, we can't talk about 2027 without mentioning Obi.

Obi actually won 2023 election but his lack of capacity to defend his votes exposed his weakness as a candidate. He is too gentle for Nigerian politics and can never be declared president, he is too afraid of prison. A man should suffer and die for what he believes in like Nnamdi Kanu, Sowore, Abiola etc

Courage is tooooooo important in a man

Imagine that Tinubu was able to still rig 2023 when he was not president and Buhari working against him via naira note change.

Now he is fully in charge lol

If FRCN's mandate does not require them to issue public statements on a company's financials, then they should inform SEC of their findings so that the right thing could be done.
OANDO doesn't care about doing the right thing, they are the only big company that haven't submitted their 2025 Fy result. Every other company listed on Ngx pass through FRCN, but they don't loud it cos it doesn't take much time for them to be cleared them. FRCN issue could be a decoy from OANDO to delay their results.
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by megawealth01: 12:49pm On Jun 29
NGX fit suspend Wale again?
thebargainhunte:
Sec should suspend both of them, no justification for the delayed results.

Any how, anyhow, some agency of govt. must ensure they do the right thing!
They are not above the law, and I recall they were suspended a few years ago when they missed the filing deadline

2027 election has already been won by Tinubu, there is no opposition in Nigeria. The only thing unclear is who will come second.

A man that controls court, INEC, thugs, police, CBN, Army, navy, civil defence, all armed forces and with a do or die mindset can't lose election in Nigeria especially when he is not a coward like Jonathan or people pleaser like obi grin. He will rig it and nothing will happen. Everyone will move on.
The second part of this post is whr I base my street sense that 2027 election will not business as usual. That you have money you have made from nse and don't want to die.Thr are more nigerias up north that have been pushed to the wall. And they no longer have anything to lose. They are equally not Afraid to go to war because they are worried about dying. This government is only betting on rigging and many are going to polling units to defend thr votes both ways.Nobod, will not tolerated the rubbish pulled of in last election. People will vote and stay around. The oppositions are equally planning on how to make true votes to them remain this time
Take it to the bank. The only way next election will be peaceful is if inec conduct election that is adjourned highly free and fair to all parties. That your army/police is not up even 1 million already over occupied with insecurity in the country

Obi did very very well in 2023. But I am not sure he won. And Tinubu should not have been declared winner either but for the loophole in the electoral system. Tinubu (according to INEC) had the highest votes but not the majority of votes cast (50%+). That is the big loophole in our electoral system that can be exploited by any ruling govt. Tinubu may score 34% and win again even if the opposition (Atiku and Obi) should have a combined score of 66% (33%; 33% each).
Anyhow, let the winner emerge by free and fair means. Even if Tinubu would win, let him win clean and fair! Let the people decide freely and fairly. Democracy is crowd wisdom. A foolish crowd may choose a bad leader again and again! That is democracy!
But left to me, he has not done well for re-election. But let Nigerians decide!

Tinubu is ready to snatch it, kill if needed and run with it, winning is all that matters to him and for him he will do anything to retain power.

The odds are heavily on his side and he has all it takes.

What is the international community doing about the daily killing of school children and teachers in Nigeria?

Obi is like a student who thinks he is intelligent because he came first in a village school of dull students. Again Obi can't defend his votes even if he wins but rigged out, he is too gentle, cool so it's pointless.
That Tinubu is seen as god in sw region because he has lagos wealth in his pocket is not how he is seen in other regions
He cannot go about killing in other regions. The Nigerian arm/police that will be used are not his family members they come from different regions. Don't forget we just had coup allegedly within same military

This was the last thing caverton posted and they never deemed it fit to communicate again after they missed the deadline that they gave. I think SEC has to step in to protect the minority shareholders. Company's result is a fundamental right of every shareholder and it shouldn't be delayed for the interest of the minority shareholders.

I have a friend that is a member of you people's Whatsapp group also, I am aware that you people were only asked to focus on Obi because he is the only major threat to Tinubu as he won the 2023 elections but was rigged out. But guy you are over doing it, Obi is not the only contestant here. Remember Atiku is also contesting, the only mistake both has made is not coming together under one ticket, you all would have been shitting on your pants by now.
The strategy I believe Nigerians should apply to extract respect from these crop of wicked politicians is to remove anyone that fails after 4 years and vote in another until we get it right, if not they all will continue to see the masses as dumb.
All you stated are conjectures deeply rooted in tribal/ethnic sentiments and misinformation. As per the other lousy fella screaming “Disgraced Ngx” earlier in the year, I will not dignify him with a response cos he has lost all credibility on this forum

Now, In my humble opinion and i am entitled to one, the Tinubu administration has instituted bold reforms (with unintended consequences) that will take a bit of time to trickle down to the micro level.

However, I do partially agree with suggestions that this administration should also cut the exorbitant cost of governance but then again there are constitutional constraints to navigate here. Insecurity is another complex issue that predates this administration and I strongly believe that the proposed local/state policing will go along way in addressing this problem

Overall, it is premature to conclude that the Tinubu administration has failed. The government inherited substantial economic, fiscal, and security challenges, many of which are deeply entrenched. While legitimate criticism is necessary in any democracy, a fair assessment should recognise both the difficulties inherited and the ongoing efforts to address them. The administration remains a work in progress, and its ultimate success or failure should be judged on the long-term outcomes of its policies rather than their immediate effects alone.

P.S

Guys do you think the ongoing World Cup will boost the financial fortunes of brewers? I’m currently loading NB cos I see more value at the current price

This is my biggest lesson on the NGX this year- my 3rd year of active investment. Going forward, I will act more like a trader than a longterm investor. It is too painful seeing your gains eroded daily.
