Never say never with NGX

At over 9% dip, June 2026 is now officially the worst month since at least 2024. Maybe even since Covid.

Dangote refinery IPO will deal with this market. I have sold some stocks to reserve money fo the IPO

The frustrating thing is, one deoesnt really knwo the cause of the slide. Companies are making good profits and there is no epidemic.

I think the NGX is broken! A YOLO order i set for WAPCO at #286 was just triggered

But prepare your mind first ooooo!!!!

Will you be contented with the profits you took should the stock surge anothe 4x after you bailed??

This is the biggest psychological hurdle to cross to successfully trade markets.

My entire strategy for instance is premised on little gains consistently on large volumes, I've never done 50% whereas some long termers have done 2000%, but I know that overall, I outperform!

I completely disagree that it is dangota ipo that is causing it.Is it going to be the first IPO

It's not against the tenets of long-term investing to cut back on your shareholdings that have run ahead of reasonable valuations nah.

I rarely trade stocks -- maybe a handful of buys each year, and even fewer sells -- but in the last few months, I've aggressively sold down stocks like NGXGROUP and ARADEL that just had what I thought were nonsensical valuations (PE 40+) that only unique businesses like space exploration and biotech deserve. But I'm still holding on to high-conviction names that enjoy reasonable valuations, like WAPCO and MTNN, despite their pullback.

3months from now. But you cannot wait till the last minute to set aside funds.

The cause is mostly profit taking and asset rotation. some to fixed income, some anticipating DANGREFINERY.

The later part of your post is why you shouldn't wait too longe before taking positions.
I've projected 220k as a support, you might be more comfortable with 200k, but the lower you wait below 220k, the more you risk being left behind when the next rally begins.

Holding long term is not for the weak

I watched my NAHCO move from 254 to 133 Aradel from 2000 to 1275 lol but I am still in profit in both. Aradel needs to go below 600 before I start losing and NAHCO 98 before I see red. Just losing unrealised profits

Took some profits in Aradel at 1680 and moved to MTN n Zenith sometimes ago sha

I mentioned it earlier. Some of the people were criticizing me. I took profit at 1618 cause I already saw what was coming. Deployed profit to MTN.

My profit taking is never a bad thing because there will always be opportunity for entry, but needs to be done wisely.

Me I am patiently waiting for after July 9. I hope it drops to 1100. As this is the fair value, anything lower than 1100 is a gift. Still stomaching losses but at least I have taken profit and will re-enter at lower cost

Nothing SWEET pass PROFITS TAKING...

SOME of the OANDO we sold at circa #53 Just 2weeks ago are REPURCHASED today at circa #40

That's a WHOOPING #13 discount

Meanwhile month of JUNE ends tomorrow so let's EXPECT some RESPITE starting from 1st of JULY.

Nope. That is why you need to do your check. Immediately they released their FS. After my analysis, I knew it was expensive and immediately bail out. (Not withstanding the general bearish movement, it was overvalued).

So lemme tell you guys what is going on in the short term.

Dangote private placement issued it’s allotment offer letter last week.

Those who got the offer last week have till this week to pay otherwise they lose it.

They are selling the most liquid stock to raise cash to take up their offer.

What is TIP still doing at 26.7. It should come down to sub 20 let me check something
