I don't buy just "any dip". I've always maintained that WAPCO , MTN n NAHCO are my favorite stocks to buy... Let's even say the dip goes deeper, they all have good fundamentals plus they're all dividend paying stocks... So buying them at current prices even if further dips are experienced isn't such a big deal... Patapata we go use dividend take hold body till they go back to being green (which I believe they would). As for my reason for buying Dangsugar at 63.50, it's basically 3.50 above the right issue price... Target now is to buy at below 63.50 or close to the right issue price (or even below RI grin. Anything is possible)... My strategy has always been staggering my bids so I don't wait too long and end up missing out on opportunities
I knew you had a personal strategy for doing what you do because the way you derive joy buying eehh. I swear. It's so motivating.

Good thing you are strategic in your own way you understand, carry on ma'am.

ProvidusUnity Bank begins operations after merger
June 29, 2026 12:48 am

By
Arinze Nwafor

Providus Bank and Unity Bank are set to commence operations as a single unified institution following the successful completion of their business combination and the conclusion of all required regulatory, shareholder, and judicial processes.

A statement from the bank on Sunday stated that the newly formed entity, ProvidusUnity Bank, represents a consolidated banking institution positioned to strengthen capitalisation, expand national coverage, deepen financial inclusion, and support Nigeria’s long-term economic ambitions.

The merger brings together Providus Bank’s innovation-driven, customer-centric service model and digital capabilities with Unity Bank’s extensive geographic reach and established market presence, creating a broader platform for retail, SME, and corporate banking services across the country...

I agree with you.

One correction tho -There is a Naira-denominated portion of the PP. There are banks in Nigeria currently receiving NAIRA from people (institution) that got the offer.

Also to restate your position the selling pressure effect doesn’t need to match the full $2bn. Even marginal institutional selling in a thin NGX market moves prices sharply remember the NGX is not a deep market
Do you mean the allottees have until friday to pay up? That means they'll sell until Wednesday this week to get their cash before Friday (T+1).

The way you buy the dip with happiness and glee, it makes me admire your courage.

I saw somewhere where you bought DANGSUGAR, I shook my head because, you need to buy more dip.

Now you talking of more dips to buy without being strategic to know if those stocks have found support.

If you follow only discounted price to buy dips, you will keep buying dips so much so that, you will be the one giving people wanting to dump the stock a life line.
So you know when the dip is going to end abi.Nothing person no go here from una mouth in the name of TA.

Obi did not win in 2023. There was no way he could have won. The fact that he won at Upper Iwenka and a few other communities does not mean he won the majority vote in the election. This is the reason why I said some people will cry again in 2027. Man won in his community , convinced himself and his supporters that he won everywhere else in the country and has been crying of rigging ever since.
If he doesn’t take his time to study the demography of Nigeria and how a number of factors determine how people vote across communities, he and everyone who shares in his ignorance will cry again after the next election.
He won in upper iweka. And whr did the drug baron win that inec glitch only happened to presidential election while other elections took place same day.

I think prices are falling because the available buy liquidity is too low to absorb the sellers. I don't think there is more selling liquidity than before; rather, buyers are simply not matching the sellers. That's the problem with relying on fundamentals in the short term: they often overlook the fact that sellers exist in both bull and bear markets.

The big question is: why is there a shortage of new money flowing into the market? Is it being diverted to other purposes?

UNIVINSURE Poised as Nigerian Insurance Sector Grows

Universal Insurance Plc operates within Nigeria's non-life insurance segment, a space undergoing its most significant structural reform in over a decade as the National Insurance Commission pushes mandatory recapitalisation deadlines across the industry.

History teaches us that when a ruler is seen as invincible or too powerful, they usually dont end well. Though momentarily they get all they want.

ogawisdom:
2027 election has already been won by Tinubu, there is no opposition in Nigeria. The only thing unclear is who will come second.

A man that controls court, INEC, thugs, police, CBN, Army, navy, civil defence, all armed forces and with a do or die mindset can't lose election in Nigeria especially when he is not a coward like Jonathan or people pleaser like obi grin. He will rig it and nothing will happen. Everyone will move on.

It's even worse when a ruler is less powerful. They can even assassinate him in office or even overrun his government right in his face.
I will rather have too much power than to be less powerful. Last last everyone go end up. All die no be die.

You are very correct. I wanted to correct the anomaly yesterday but was also mindful of being insulted.

The correct proverb is " he that wants to witness the blinking of a crab will tary endlessly by the sea shore".

TARGET TECHNICAL ANALYSIS– NGX INSTITUTIONAL BRIEFING (EXTRACT). If you need full report, you can send DM
REPORT : 30 June 2026
GENERAL INTRODUCTION
The Nigerian stock market stayed in a careful, defensive mood on June 29, 2026, as big money managers focused on protecting their cash rather than buying new shares. This short report breaks down exactly where the big money moved and what it means for everyday investors in plain language.

SIMPLE MARKET RECAP
Major investment firms and pension funds quietly pulled their money out of expensive, widely held sectors to lock in their gains. This caused stock prices to drift down naturally into cheaper, safer territory. While everyday retail savers showed some fear, the big money flow behind the scenes looked like a planned, careful reshuffle rather than a blind panic.

MARKET ANALYSIS
A deep look at how the big players are trading shows that the market is going through a temporary cooling-off period. Crucially, the actual amount of shares being traded dropped significantly as prices fell. This is a clear sign that the heavy selling is running out of fuel. The big institutional players have intentionally lowered their buying prices, waiting for panicked everyday sellers to finish getting out before they step in to drive prices back up.

BIG MONEY MOVEMENTS: LOOKING AT 5 POINTS
1. Price Behavior: The drop in prices is mostly happening in big, expensive companies, while a few smaller firms are starting to steady themselves.
2. Trading Activity: Lower trading volumes on a down day prove that the heavy selling from big funds is starting to dry up.
3. Buy and Sell Balance: Big funds are actively unloading their energy stocks, but they are quietly stepping in to buy banking and smaller consumer shares at lower prices, acting as a safety cushion.
4. Investor Mood: Professional investors are playing a patient waiting game, refusing to jump in until they are certain prices have hit rock bottom.
5. The Big Picture Economy: High interest rates and high inflation mean that safe government savings bills are paying out a guaranteed 20 percent return. This is naturally tempting big funds to park their cash with the government instead of buying stocks.

MARKET DIRECTION PREDICTION
Because the heavy selling pressure is drying up, the market is highly likely to see a minor upward bounce or steady sideways movement soon not likely today. We want to see big volume buying with some price stability.

TARGET TECHNICAL EQUITIES WATCHLIST DIRECTIVE
Active Buy Tracking: XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX (with XXXX looking highly attractive due to excellent company profits).
Higher Risk Speculative Buys: XXXX, XXXX, XXXX.
Delayed Buys (Wait for a Cheaper Drop): XXXX, XXXX.
Safe Long-Term Plays (Do Not Buy Today): XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX.
Undervalued Deals (Wait for Prices to Stop Falling): XXXX, XXXX, XXXX.
Watchlist Wait and Avoid (Patience Required): XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX.
Heavy Selling Risk (Stay Completely Away): XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX.
CONCLUSION
The weak market headlines hide the fact that selling pressure is actually fading. Smart money is quietly waiting out the tough economic environment while picking up safe, discounted shares on the dips. Regular investors should avoid buying into falling sectors and keep their cash safe until the market shows a clear, volume-backed recovery.

AS INDIVIDUALS WE ARE PERSONALLY RESPONSIBLE FOR OUR TRADES.
