Marriage is not for everyone. You were not financially ready for marriage when you got married.

Please think of divorce now. There's nothing wrong about it. You may not live up to 70 years with this type of lifestyle.

I'm here for truth only.

Blunt99:
What is the point of this post?

Why didn't you get your finances sorted before bringing innocent kids into the world to suffer with you.

"300 Naira Akara" a father!
"I could have harm the children for it" embarassed

This better be another rage bait post.

But Seun doesn't pay for this mindlessness of attention seeking.

Or he dey pay, na me no know... 🤔
Be there waiting when you will be financially stable before you go marry and start having children... you go reach 45 years unmarried, by then your mates must have married with 3 children.

Keep waiting till you make money first.

Ah hah! 😂

This is what I presumed you meant, and why I said it ain't pretty.
There's nothing wrong with being described as unassuming and conservative. cheesy

Well, your presumption is predicated on another presumption: northerners are nothing but bumbling savage simpletons stuck in the paleolithic era.
Hahahahaha

I just think they're in a world of their own.

It used to bother me when people make that presumption, on account that I found it insulting. But the reality is, we're all a reflection of our society. I know what most northerners think of southerners and it too ain't pretty.

Reality is, there a lot of "exposed" people out there on either side of the divide, but they're occluded by the pervasive noise on almost all platforms where the loudmouths, the braggarts, and everything shiny dominate.

Nairaland is one of the very few common grounds we can meet on our terms (at least to the extent the rules allow us free speech), but even here it's the banality of the Nigerian experience that gets platformed to the frontpage: politics, yeyebrities, crime, scandals, hype, primal instincts, and sheer stupidity. There's no real stage for the intellectual Nigerian youths to engage each other and learn, thereby washing away the stain and stench of stereotypes and dogma and presumptions.

So yeah, I understand where you're coming from, and I'm glad you opened up. There are many like us here, but some prefer not to jump into the mud and get dirty with the swines just to be seen. Conservative? Perhaps. Modesty? Maybe.

It could be I'm just an anomaly, the exception to the rule. Or maybe most northerners are indeed bumbling savage buffoons by dint of poor education.
You see what I mean? Tell me you're "unusual" without telling me you're "unusual". cheesy

Cheers and I love your foodie posts as I'm a devoted foodie 😊

My Wife hate to see me sad or angry. She would always do everything within her power to see me and her children happy.

Thank you my Angel. I love you so much
When God picks your call and bless you abundantly, don't abandon her with the excuse that she is no more in vogue.

Yesterday, my Boss made us work under the heavy rain and refused to pay us our salary until we complete the work.

When I got home, the dinner my wife cooked would not be enough for the children to eat so I went out to buy ₦300 akara to hold my belly until the next day.

Before I said let me remove my clothes and take my bath, my children had pounced on the small akara I bought.

I would have harmed my children last night if not for the fear of God in me because that was the only money I had in my pocket.

I went to bed angry and hungry. My wife tried to calm me down and make love to me but I cursed her and we ended up fighting.
...and you cursed her. Are you okayhuh?

This morning, I woke up to the smell of fresh Agushi soup that she specially prepared for me with her own money.

I ate to my satisfaction and prayed for her.

The soup was very rich and thick but she could only cook a small portion. So we only ate it for breakfast.

We had sweet potatoes and oil for lunch which was also prepared by my lovely wife.

Marriage is patient Obavoh.
Try and be a more patient man. Your wife does not need to suffer for your anger issues all because you see that she has the ability to calm you down.
Also double your hustle cuz the economy does not know I no get moneya
