Stockbrokers and Registrars are still corrupt and criminal Nigerians like me and you. Do not ever forget that for a second.

Look at what is happening in banks today. So many bankers being caught stealing millions of Naira from money deposited or invested by their clients, both those dead, And those still alive.

Stockbrokers are only regulated. And also checkmated by the fact that the traders and investors keep track of their money, Portfolio, and investments, almost on a daily basis. Unlike what happens to our bank account deposits, where we keep it there and forget to check it from time to time.

Despite all checkmates and regulatedness, never forget for a moment that Stockbrokers and Registrars still have Nigerian criminal blood in the veins.

Stay woke. Stay alert.
A lot of Nigerian companies are on this table; no checkmate or regulation can stop them. e.g DisCo

I told that beron that all those technical jargons will not hold as it was just a normal pull back last week, I said market will close positive this month.

Nobody love making money slowly but people that does win in the long run.
He probably didn't get the technical analysis. We could be looking at the same chart and seeing different things. From the technical analysis, one could see a level on the ASI chart where there could be a reversal in price. Plot your simple trendline and Fib. You will see a confluence of possible reversals, with price either holding or falling further if it doesn't hold.

Not easy like that.....but let him just announce that he's stepping down as CEO, them poach one popularly known able hand from SEPLAT or NLNG....
Or, if his friend, Otedola should announce that he's taking up the 4m shares or buying 20/30% stakes in OANDO...
You'll see how stories will change.....😊
Is he in good terms with Otedola?
I thought they had some disagreement over Oando's former head office situated at Ajose Adeogun, VI?

Best thing for Oando is to go private. Then nobody will lose sleep over how and where they take the company. Clearly they don't even need the exchange to raise capital. Look at how long it is taking them to do a simple RI.

With the current debt levels, going private might be more difficult than staying as a public company!
They need all the money that being public-listed can bring

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Raider76: 5:13pm On Jul 06
I have answered your bolded point in my original post. They don't seem to need the money that could come from the exchange. For example, how many other companies did RI since Oando mentioned they were going to do theirs at N50? How much was raised by the banks and other companies since then. For me as an investor I just don't believe they are willing to operate as an honest and transparent publicly quoted company.

TARGET TECHNICAL ASSESSMENT OF OANDO 2025 RESULT!!!
**TARGET TECHNICAL ANALYSIS CAUCUS STOCK PICKS **
QUICK ANALYSIS OF OANDO 2025 FINANCIALS
The handwriting on the wall is "Caveat Emptor"

Oando PLC Full Year 2025 Group Financial Statement Analysis
Financial Summary Table:
Item CURRENT (2025) % CHANGE
Gross Earnings NGN 3.21 Trillion -21.4%
Profit After Tax NGN 241.30 Billion +9.6%
Dividend (Proposed) Nil 0.0%
Earnings Per Share NGN 30.00 +66.7%

Analysis of Salient Points:
Revenue and Top-Line Contraction The Group recorded a 21.4% decline in revenue, dropping to NGN 3.21 trillion from NGN 4.09 trillion in 2024. This drop was primarily caused by a reduction in lower-margin trading operations in the downstream sector, which fell by 26% from NGN 3.69 trillion to NGN 2.72 trillion. This contraction reflects shifts in Nigeria's domestic refined-product supply landscape, particularly following the scale-up of local refining capacity.
Upstream Production Growth The upstream business served as a primary operational anchor. Total production grew by 32% year-on-year to an average of 32,482 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boepd), driven by the full consolidation of the Nigerian Agip Oil Company (NAOC) Joint Venture interest and enhanced asset integrity. Crude oil liftings climbed 30%, and gas sales volumes rose by 59%.

Core Operating Weakness and Non-Operating Support While the bottom line grew, core operating profit fell sharply by 91% to NGN 50.2 billion, down from NGN 569.7 billion in 2024. This contraction was driven by an 82% decline in gross profit alongside rising production costs. The final positive net profit was heavily supported by non-operating factors, including substantial impairment reversals and NGN 226.1 billion in favorable tax credits.

Balance Sheet and Capital Structure The balance sheet continues to face structural strain, characterized by negative equity due to total liabilities exceeding total assets. However, liquidity showed positive momentum, with cash and bank balances expanding by 71% to approximately NGN 380 billion, driven by stronger financing inflows and asset optimization. Capital expenditure rose significantly to NGN 101.9 billion to support upstream facility enhancements.

Investor Verdict: Mixed, but Operationally Better positioned for the Long Term.

For an investor, the Group Financial Statement for December 2025 presents a mixed outcome but leans operationally better regarding long-term structural positioning compared to 31 December 2024.

Why it is better:
The bottom-line profitability rose by nearly 10%, driving a 66.7% expansion in Earnings Per Share. More importantly, the core business model is successfully shifting from high-volume, low-margin refined-product trading to high-margin upstream exploration and production. This transition is validated by the 32% volume growth in daily output.
Why caution is required:

**The quality of the 2025 earnings remains low because the net profit was heavily reliant on tax credits and accounting adjustments rather than operating cash generation**. The persistent negative equity and high finance costs mean that capital restructuring plans, debt conversions, and upcoming equity raises remain critical variables for long-term balance sheet stability.

Based on our expected performance, the result is a failure, dispalying stock as high risk.

Someone (a full adult) made allegations against someone (another adult), presumably the boss.
Today, the father of the person that made the allegation has been arrested by security operatives in Ogbomosho!
The poor old father that was not part of their shenanigans has been picked up, instead!
Somebody described it as ''political banditry''

One of the reasons i have being part of this forum is the quality information provided as relating to the stockmarket. Today, some people have highjacked it, in the name of political discussion. Please go to the politics section. You political comments give me headache. I am here for stocks and not if tinubu or obi will win the election. This rubbish should stop.

I think you no longer need to send them email. I opened an account for someone last week. Everything is now online, on their portal (not iTrade). After filling the form, they sent the person an email and followed up with the opened account details.
