If before marriage you spot a habit that you can't stand, then FLEE immediately. For example, if like me you can't tolerate seeing a lady's dirty underwear, then don't proceed with the marriage if your fiancee is in the habit of not washing her underwears immediately after wearing them. She'll turn your house into a waste bin of smelly dross and ragged bras after marriage; and you'll be perpetually miserable living with her and her dirty habit.
Lol

One of the biggest mistakes people make before marriage is falling in love with a person's potential instead of accepting their present reality.

If someone smokes, drinks heavily, gambles, spends recklessly or has a lifestyle you genuinely dislike, ask yourself one simple question:

If this person never changes, can I still happily spend the rest of my life with them?

If the answer is no, then walk away. Do not enter the relationship hoping marriage will magically transform them into the person you want.

Many relationships become stressful because one partner spends years trying to "fix" the other. What started as love gradually becomes constant criticism, arguments and disappointment.

This does not mean couples should never encourage each other to become better. Healthy relationships inspire growth. A loving partner can encourage healthier habits, better financial decisions or personal development.

The difference is that encouragement respects a person's freedom, while control tries to force change.

Real change is most effective when it comes from personal conviction, not pressure.

Before saying "I do," pay close attention to the habits and values you see today. Marry the person they are now, not the version you have created in your imagination.

Many people assume marriage changes people. In reality, marriage often magnifies who people already are.

Choose wisely.
Some do change though...especially when they almost lose their kidney / liver

Dem no dey tell person

Anything you are seeing in relationship...once you enter marriage...it will be promax.

Those that cheat in relationships...will cheat more in marriage.
Those that beat their partners...will do worst in marriage.

Marriage doesn't change anybody...it only reveal the true color of that person.

Why would you place her on any allowance?
Is she not supposed to be working?

Don't go for a girl from a poor home, otherwise you go spend tire.

I know of someone who picked a wife from ashawo quarter with the hope of changing her. As I type this she abandoned him with three children and returned to the street (her original home). The last child is just six months old when she abandoned them.

As someone with fifteen years of exercise in marriage, please never you lay your hands on her. Avoid her food, sleep outside sometimes. If she complains tell her she is not making the home habitable for you. Believe you me she will change

sometimes ago i posted on this forum if I could go for one of my staff who fell in love with me while I was still with my fiancée then. Many people advised me against marrying my staff, the staff in particular was very nice girl to me who stands by me in every time there is challenges, then I knew little or nothing about my wife attitude and I was trying to stick to my wife base on the fact that I met her first and I don’t want to hurt her, eventually I married my fiancée and the staff left. Since I married my wife it has been one set back to the other and the business hasn’t been the same since the girl left.
The lesson I want people to learn from this
Never marry out of pity
Marry who is ready to assist you
