Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by KarlTom: 9:32am On Jul 09
Not really.

I believe that both indices use different metrics for their assessment...

It's still possible for FTSE Russell to upgrade NGX before the Dec '26 being muted by S&P
mikeapollo:
It was obvious that the FTSE Russell's assessment was wrong and unsustainable.

I bought 6300 unit of zenith bank @107.8 last week but my portfolio is showing 110. I used the remaining change to buy small JAPAULGOLD. So now I don’t really know if that quantity of JAPAULGOLD was added to my portfolio as I was not sure of the quantity I had before!! If zenith was at 110 there will be no change to buy JAPAULGOLD. This is morgan

Maybe it's showing you your cost, including fees, which usually add about 2%. That's how cardinal stone displays it

No. The breakeven cost is 110.7..this captures every fee that was involved.. unit cost is 110. ,Which is supposed to be 107.8. Anyway I learnt the lesson to always know my quantities of units in my portfolio!

Pls I don't understand this English. Is it share buy back which requires paying for the shares.Or it is reconstruction of shares at rate to be determined but shareholders will not receive any money for it

Let's stop this hypocrisy about ''antagonizing this govt''. Some of us talk as if criticizing this (or any) govt is a taboo in a democracy.
OBJ criticized previous govt before he became an elected president, same with Buhari. Tinubu critized/antagonized all previous govts before him. Did you wish that anyone of them died of depression?
But here you are, as a citizen, wishing evil (depression) to befall your fellow ordinary Nigerians who may be criticizing the govt. that they pay their taxes to.
If not their govt, do you want them to criticize or antagonize God for creating and putting them in this country?

TARGET TECHNICAL ANALYSIS!!!
What will the market do today. The uptrend is likely to continue or market will trade in a range.

The Allshare index rising yesterday was just due to some firepower from few heavyweight stocks.

Let us see what today havw to offer.

I think there might be share buy-back on a pro rata basis + reconstruction.

The current OS of 168bn is insane...

ok that means a likely two scenario may play out.
I knew reconstruction was definitely going to happen. That is why I was always using the price of NB and its OS to look at price of IB
I was always expecting share reconstruction of 5 to 1 reduction

* Negative retained earnings is going to be eliminated by paying from the Premium Account.
* OS to be reduced, reconstruction thru share buy back possibly, and this will be taking care of from the profits made if I get it right.
Let's wait for more detailed interpretation or Press Release.
