Don't waste your time on some of this people.

They don't know the difference between hating your government & hating one's country.

One was even advocating that the Stock market crashes just to score a point.

Support your candidates but don't wish evil on your country because you don't like the occupant of Aso Villa. That's not a responsible behaviour.

🇳🇬 NGX Weekly Recap

Another blockbuster week for Nigerian equities.

The market added trillions in value, takeover activity accelerated, S&P put Nigeria on its watchlist, and earnings season officially kicked off.

Here's everything that mattered 👇

1. Nigeria received a major global boost.

S&P placed Nigeria on its watchlist for possible frontier market reclassification, with the SEC and NGX Group describing it as recognition of ongoing market reforms.

Later in the week, Nigerian equities also overtook South Korea as the world's best-performing stock market in dollar terms.

2. Takeover activity dominated headlines.

• SEC approved Emerald HoldCo's ₦6.94 billion mandatory takeover offer for Beta Glass.
• Xenergi launched a ₦76 million mandatory takeover bid for Premier Paints.
Corporate activity on the NGX remains elevated.
