Not true. Daar remains a GAMBLE until any reasonable news come from their TEAM
mikeapollo:
Wow!
Is DAAR Communications that rich, to acquire 80% of Warner Bros, and also planning 70% of Cana+?
This is massive if true. Congrats and wishing them all the best.
I hope their DAAR Satellite TV (DAARSAT) is still active and going strong

Naira is now trading at top 10 😮😮😮😮
God bless CBN governor by extension APC 💪
Does this help ordinary Nigerians?

This is where the answer becomes “partly, but not immediately.”

Who benefits first?

* People who own shares.
* Pension funds.
* Investment funds.
* Wealthier Nigerians.
* Foreign investors.

These groups see their investments increase in value.

How could it eventually help everyone?

If companies become more valuable, they can:

* Borrow more money.
* Build new factories.
* Hire more workers.
* Pay more taxes.
* Expand production.

Those changes can eventually create jobs and higher incomes - but only if the businesses actually invest and grow.

But this platform is not only me na? There are others too who may read that information and take it seriously as well.
As far as I know, people here do not spread such false news about acquisitions; it a serious thing that impacts stocks prices.

That's not false news. It's clearly a joke. Warner Bros market capitalisation is about US$67 billion. Who dash monkey banana? No one should take that seriously.

You see as a joke because you know Warner Bros' market capitalization.
What about those who do not know?
Jokes or no jokes, I think people should not be giving false investment news on this platform. We can make other forms of jokes.
Otherwise, it may affect the integrity of business/investment info shared here.

Anyone old enough to be on this platform and who claims to have anything with stocks and the NGX should not take such a comment as a basis for an investment decision.

A staff or two of CNN alone may be worth more than DAAR as a whole.

I have no SINPathy for anyone who takes my comment without a bag of salt.

FG Suspends Proposed WAEC, NECO Fee Hike After Public Backlash

https://www.nairaland.com/8708550/fg-suspends-proposed-waec-neco

Thank God. Hope they keep the old price.
N50,000 is still a lot. There are students who have no one to assist or pay their fees (e.g. orphans) in sec school..
The state govts/FGN should help stand in the gap and pay any shortfalls in the fees to WAEC.
They will soon open loan portal for it.And they will say we should celebrate it as achievement in education sector. They will say Nigerian students can now write weac/neco exams via government loan program. It is the first of its kind since the creation of nigeria. When you say,why can't government subsidize it or take care of completely. They will say we don't have enough revenue or paying enough tax to cover. Then the next day we see billions of waste in the budget for ghost agencies

You are playing ''home'' (NGX) and ''away'' (NYSE/NASDAQ) at the same time?
Watch your ''legs''! Avoid ''dislocation'' or ''cramps''!

Very proactive step by NGX. I hope it repositions Nigeria back to being classed as Frontier Market by September, 2026
