lawani:
Nations or zones in Nigeria just as in anywhere are successful according to population, urban agglomeration which is an indication of organization and HDI.
In population the SE is the least and it is around one third of the SW or the NW. In urbanization it might be second to the last ahead of maybe only the NE and in HDI it is number one as a zone but below Lagos or Ogun state as stand alones

So how did he count millionaires to say the SE is leading? Is it people with one million dollars of which half of them are in Lagos or he counted people that own their own homes of which the majority will be in the North as they buy more cement? I wonder what he used to arrive at his conclusion?

If the SE had the population then they would stand a better chance of pulling more weight
The Southeast has the population, and from what I can see, there are more Igbo millionaires in Nigeria.

The OP mentioned the pros and cons of every zone; the post is not biasedly tilted against any region.
Stop making every topic, debate, discussion a SW vs SE affair at the slightest opportunity! It is irritating, shallow and does not cast one as a well informed, objective fellow.

How does this work? Is it like a stock you can buy and sell? What is the dividend yield?
I am co-asking about the NREIT too.

Do they really pay the distributions in the currency of income?

Yes. It is listed on the stock exchange. You can trade it, and earn dividends as well.

You have a big problem. That is what you do that I have devoted myself to degrade. It is actually nauseating to me to hear 19 million people in the SE being constantly compared to almost sixty million people in the NW or SW. If the stupid dick measuring can end, I will be so happy. As in how now?

President Tinubu have identity issues not drug issues. He was not convicted in the US for drug running. You can not be convicted just for money that entered your account. You yourself must have had your bank account used by another person a few times and you can't be sure of the true origin of the funds.
Na lie joor. How many times drug dealer money don enter your account. They are very careful people

Comparing the pros and cons, attributes, qualities of a people is NOT ALWAYS about population! Is this too difficult to understand?
When someone makes such comment as made by the OP, you should know that he is speaking in RELATIVE terms and not about absolute numbers! He did not compare any region based on absolute population numbers.

If you still do not get it, I wish you best of luck in your bliss!

Common sense says 19 million people can't have more millionaires than sixty million people in the same country. If you need constant dick measuring then why not with groups of similar population? If you say the SE have more millionaires than Benin republic, I will say you are most probably right

Obviously, you don't get the difference between RELATIVE and ABSOLUTE.

It is like someone telling you that a country e.g. Kenya, Uganda or Ghana, has a higher adult literacy rate than Nigeria, and you are arguing that it is not possible because Nigeria has more population (200 million+), more universities and more PhD holders and professors!

So someone involved in drug pushing was feeling rather generous, and just miraculously deposited $500k ($1.2 million in today's currency) into his account without his knowledge or consent?

Why do I never get this damn lucky? Scammers are always trying to steal my money, not dash me cold cash. grin
A drug dealer will ever mistakenly pust his money in your account. How is it ever possible. The only thing a drug dealer can mistakenly do is to kill u

Ok then let's forget about it. The article was not talking about rate which I also would not accept but about numbers.

The money was probably not deposited by mistake but even if it was not deposited by mistake, does it automatically mean that the account owner is a drug baron? It only establishes there was an attempt to use the account to launder drug money

Make una dey fear God in this country.

How many of una don see 1.2 million dollars even now as naija economy don scatter talk less of then .
Na him someone just go drop that kind money for bat account many moon ago say he just like to play or him like bat face.
And they no get business dealings together
Then bat is doing everything legally possible for detailed information concerning it not to be released to the public

It is high timed they begin teach street sense for our schools starting from primary schools..lol

What would you say is the reason a state like Abia has more NIN registration than Osun but ends up having much less number of internet subscribers? In all the SE only Anambra has more internet subscribers than Osun state and it also has a higher number of NIN registration. Why would the low number of Internet subscribers in Abia be the case in a state where people have money to buy smart phones?
