The H in "hotel" is NOT silent. "An hour", but "a hotel".

You are totally wrong here. "H" is not silent in "hotel" (except you are a Yoruba man/woman!) so there is nothing like "an hotel" in modern English.

When in doubt, Google is always there. I know that this present generation don't know what a dictionary is. Some probably have never seen one before.
