The context doesn’t change the rule.
You are introducing a restriction that doesn’t exist in English grammar. The indefinite article depends on the sound at the beginning of the next word, regardless of whether that word is a person, place, object, or idea. Don’t you get huh
So asking me to “show a before a place” doesn’t refute my point. The grammatical rule is still based on sound, not on whether the word is the name or description of a place.
The fact that a word describes a place is irrelevant. What matters is how the next word is pronounced.
Okay let me show you for learning purpose.
an island
an oasis
an airport
an embassy
an inn

And if the place name itself begins with a silent H we can have an Hour House (if that were the official name of a place) an Honest Kitchen (if that’s the name of a restaurant
So there you have your example of using AN before a place
Will be waiting for your response if you still think
I’m wrong we are all here to learn.
Don't mind that nonsensical and proud guy. He has just come to embarrass him.
'I too know' dey worry him

You should have quietly and humbly taken the correction but see how you wrote this garbage with so much confidence because of empty vessel level pride. This is how people like you wear suit and tie and mislead people especially in public places like this.

What school did you attend to learn such? Did any of your teachers even bother to teach you about VOWEL SOUNDS & CONSONANT SOUNDS or were they busy selling egusi in class? What was your score in JAMB (ENGLISH alone)?

I dey correct you and you dey try TEACH me? Telling me NOT THE ACTUAL LETTER? Please, what sound does the letter make?

Show me where it has become valid to use AN right before a word starts with H as regards places; I dare you.

Typo? You deliberately added N to A and you want to tell me about Typo? I have been typing on keys (Typewriter) before keyboards came into existence and I know a Typo when I see one. Look at the the distance between A and N then shamelessly mention Typo again.

Oga, "an hotel" is not wrong it's only outdated. Use your Google

So since it's outdated why still use it when there's a better 'modern' alternative? 🤔

I am very interested to know why youd rather use an outdated term over its modern counterpart? 🧐

H is indeed silent in hotel,it sounds like otel instead of hotel when you pronounce it 😂
No be small H factor dey worry the guy.

AllBlack:
Hotel /hoʊˈtɛl/

H is silent in Hotel.... Really? Thanks for the information. Please print it out and share to all your household.

Just because you have a H factor impediment doesn't mean everyone else should share in your predicament.

I know that fly must support shieet but try your best to hide how empty your head is and stop showing it about like it is the new fashion.
