JAPAULGOLD & VFD GROUP – Two Stocks I Believe Every Investor Should Be Watching Closely

Different sectors. Different stories. One thing in common: the potential to attract significant market attention in the coming weeks.

JAPAULGOLD is driven by expectations surrounding its mining business and upcoming financial results. With sustained investor interest and strong trading activity, many believe the market is positioning ahead of further developments.

VFD GROUP continues to stand out as a growth company with solid fundamentals and an expanding business. For investors looking beyond the short term, it remains one of the quality names on the NGX.

These are not competing stocks—they serve different investment objectives. But if positive catalysts continue to unfold, both have the potential to reward patient investors.

The market often moves before the news becomes obvious. That's why JapaulGold and VFD Group are on my watchlist.

Keep an eye on these two stocks. The next major move could belong to them.

This reflects my personal opinion and is not investment advice. Always do your own research.

True... wink

Ok, that is possible, but it is a big speculation. Why didn't they rush in to offload today? As I mentioned, today's traded value was lower than yesterday's, and most of the trades were executed at the day's highest price. You can see that the evidence we have at the moment does not support your case.

That said, it could still happen, as you suggested, if the people buying these billions of naira worth of shares at the highest prices run out of money.

I will take a look at vfd and bag some.

As for japaul Gold, for someone investing over the long term purely because they expect gold prices to rise, I'd rather own the underlying asset than a company tied to it.

A gold mining company exposes you to two risks: the price of gold and the company's execution. Even if gold performs well, shareholders can still lose out due to poor management, cost overruns, dilution, debt, operational issues, or regulatory challenges.

If the thesis is simply that gold will appreciate over the next 5-10 years, then physical gold or a Gold ETF gives me cleaner exposure with fewer company-specific risks.

And what about price appreciation due to fomo and hype on the one hand and handsome dividend payment on the other?

First, I agree Access bank is way undervalued.
But to think of dividend this year will be a dream which implies that we may not see any interest in that stock until the coast is clear.

Many seems not to understand the situation...

Access bank needs to selldown about 19% to 10%
Or grow twice their current numbers...

For the basic, lets say its worth 4.3 trillion
So they need to sell down 817billion to 433billion (384 billion off the books) -Which is easier and comes at a loss
Or double their growth to 8.6trillion...(harder route).

Concerns has been raised in the past (here) on how this bank kept on going on acquisition spreee...

Dont invest in Access yet until it's clear. You can even join the bus at 30 when things are clear.

grin grin

I will be generous to buy this stock at 20naira grin
