There's already one cement brand called "Mango" coming in from Niger Republic. I don't know if it is being legally imported or smuggled in. But for some reason it is being sold at the same price as the local cement brands. Given the greed of our businessmen the imported cement may not be cheaper than the local one.

londonerr:
be careful I see cement imports coming soon

Is this different from mangal cement that is made in Kogi?

It is mangal. It is owned by a northerner and produced in Nigeria....kogi. He is a well known billionaire in the North. I don't think thr is even a single cement factory in Niger Republic. It is Dangote Cement company that export to that country. When Nigeria government sealed her boarders some yrs back.it affected them alot because most construction work whr put on hold.
Before it came into market. He promised to use his cement price to crash the retail price and people whr happy and waiting. When it finally landed it joined the cement cabal in price exploitation of Nigerians as usual..The only company that should have made price reduction possible was bua but his cement is even more expensive in SE as he equally has capacity. The billionaires in dollars control the cement sector and fund political parties so they will never allow any importation.....go verify from ibeto

Everyone wants to go with the winner. Alhaji is amazing. I wonder if NNPCL bought the PP. Before he said he doesn't want their money. Maybe NNPCL should now sell their 7.5% at large profit. Then they can invest the money in repairing the PH and Warri refineries and hope this time the money is not looted. 🤞
Such a crazy proposition. They should be beaten with 2 by 2 if they ever try this. Yiu want them to sell the living to buy the dead?
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Raider76: 9:18pm On Jul 25
Yes. It is a different product. This is Mango, like in mango fruit.

ACCESS didn't close negative.....
Closed @29.20, same as yesterday's price.
The dumper came dumping down to 28.50 but it went back up to close @29.20....
Went as high as N31.35
* Over 128M units exchanged hands..

From observation of the tradings today,
ACCESS was resisting the dumpers/jijoists and quite some level of defence of the share price witnessed......

* One good thing so far is the defence of the share price, unlike before, there wasn't free fall even when the offers far outweigh bids at some point.....
* All things being equal, KM 30 is the next hurdle that needs be overcome.....
Ability to successfully overcome this junction should take ACCESS to KM 35....... thereafter, "a catalyst" should see it above 40 and aiming to take back her position around UBA's......
** Peter and other Jijoists will think it's business as usual, but one of these trips will see them pursuing ACCESS just the way FBNH escaped from their hands..😊

** Observation and reporting from the village 😁
** DD advised as you're the CEO of your portfolio...
Could access reach like 40 this year?

Will he declare everything free for d whole world??. Wondering at what he is seeing!!
He sees Robots and Ai doing the magic.
.....ensuring supply of goods and services all over the world will eventually outway World demand.

With so much supply due to automaton and also varying substitutes by Robotic and Ai related, consumer pricing will be so cheap and probably almost worthless in monetary terms...

Nigeria is the place to be investment wise. We need to see more arms of governments partner with listed companies on the NGX to boost the economy.
A word is enough for a wise government that want to see its people succeed.

Keep an eye on Transcorp PLC…
With FG’s plan to raise the second tranche of bonds to clear legacy power sector debt, liquidity will be freed up for its power subsidiaries.

Dont be too excited on this. it might even affect the performance negatively depending on whether there had been adequate provisioning for the debt as per IFRS standard. remember they had been carrying the debt as receivables and the FG is paying based on agreed haircut to the debt, so if they had not make provisioning for this before now, then it will impact the performance negatively. All said it should be positive for cashflow.
