I think the greatest accessment of OandO should be the liabilities check.
If they are reducing at a reasonable ratio..
That's a great positive.
Not necessarily making profit for now.
Reading thru some of the comments on OANDO, I think many posters here are actually posting their already negative minds because they will never see anything good about the company no matter what......

I quoted yours because you were a bit fair in your assessment.

Why are people not seeing the positive line items in the results?

Though still going thru the results with my amateur lens, but so far, there are quite some improvements and positive aspects of the results.......
* The increase in Revenue
* The drastic reduction in the liabilities
* The exponential cash at hand.....
* The return to profits from losses in 2025
* The provision made for dividends......
prompt reporting of Q2....etc.

So, why are all these ignored while all Agba (for instance) could see/mention is the finance costs? 🙄😁
Anyone bother to read the notes to the financial reports yet?
What if some profits are hidden under finance costs to drastically reduce the Tax that goes to the govt?

For all I could see from Market reactions, this negative thoughts/fear seems priced in the share price already.

As usual, we'll wait on the detailed breakdown of the results by the non-biased analysts. tongue

Most things are difficult for you to understand. So if electricity bill is 20 billion naira per annum for the Presidency and solar is 30 billion naira to install, they should be paying the discos instead of installing solar? If they do that, it means they are not competent and you will still be among those pointing it out. I wonder how old you are

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by megawealth01: 7:18am On Aug 01
Nigerians spent nearly five decades buying lottery tickets from Kessington Adebutu. He spent the proceeds buying a bank.
Wema Bank's 2025 audited accounts record Neemtree Limited holding 11,872,844,847 ordinary shares, 29.59 percent of the lender. Neemtree is a special purpose vehicle Adebutu incorporated in 2013 to accumulate targeted stakes, and it makes him Wema's largest single shareholder.

Wema last traded at ₦34.10 on April 30, the same day it touched an all-time high of ₦36.00, valuing the holding at ₦404.86 billion, about $291.27 million at ₦1,390 to the dollar. The stake has been climbing steadily, from 27.7 percent in 2019 to 28.26 percent in 2024 and 29.59 percent in 2025. A second vehicle, SW8 Investment Limited, holds 26.87 percent, taking the combined block to 56.46 percent. Wema reported 2025 pre-tax profit of ₦222.07 billion on revenue of ₦420.61 billion, up 79.6 percent, and Adebutu collected ₦14.84 billion, about $10.5 million, in gross dividends in April.

His second listed holding is smaller and has run faster. He owns 150,401,972 Vitafoam Nigeria shares, a 10.02 percent stake worth ₦29.30 billion, about $21.08 million, at ₦194.80 a share, up from $4.35 million in June last year without buying a single new share. Vitafoam is up 747 percent this year on profit that jumped 1,427 percent to ₦14.54 billion. Samuel Bolarinde, who ran the company until 2002 and chaired it until 2013, still holds 12.03 percent. Adebutu owns 69.9 percent of construction company Arbico Plc as well. Combined at latest prices, the Wema and Vitafoam stakes come to about $312.35 million, understated because the Wema figure is three months old. Premier Lotto, the business behind the fortune, was founded in Lagos in 1977 and dominates Nigerian gaming as Baba Ijebu, running through more than 200 principal agents and 16,000 retail representatives. Adebutu was born in Iperu in October 1935 and, at 90, is still buying.

This Adebutu man sure knows his onions. The lazy youths are seriously playing baba ijebu thinking of hitting it big one day. The smart Adebutu is seriously increasing his wealth in a few selected companies and amassing his wealth. Who say investing in stocks is not good ?

Thanks for sharing. You equally shared a story of a Nigerian with highest shares in MTNN, I have seen a similar pattern play out with Otedola in FBNH. If only i can seriously prune down my 35 stocks in my portfolio to maybe 10, i know i will reap a better reward in terms of dividend.

The first step will be to prune down 35 to 30, 30 to 25, 25 to 20, 20 t0 15 and finally 15 to 10. This will really take sometime, but my portfolio rebalancing is inevitable. I have no business being in every stock. Carefully will pick the best 10 in every sector and consolidate. grin grin grin

Lesson learnt: Pick a few selected stocks and concentrate your energy in it. One is bound to reap bountifully. Being in every stock doesn't really make much sense. (over- diversification).

JAPAULGOLD: WHY ₦5 IS NOW A REALISTIC TARGET

With the release of the Q1 & Q2 2026 financial results, JapaulGold has given investors more reasons to believe its mining transformation is progressing.

Why the market is becoming more bullish:

• Mining is now taking shape. The Q2 report disclosed Mining Work-in-Progress, showing that the company is investing in developing its mining assets rather than just holding mining licences.

• Fresh capital is available. The report also confirmed that funds were raised through a Private Placement, giving the company additional working capital to execute its mining plans.

• Subsidiaries are being strengthened. Recent board changes in Japaul Mines & Products Ltd., Japaul Shipping & Offshore Services Ltd., and Japaul Dredging Services Ltd. suggest the company is positioning its businesses for the next phase of growth.

• Corporate governance is improving. The company has strengthened its governance through board committees, ESG oversight, board evaluation and other governance initiatives.

• The balance sheet is stronger. Earlier financial statements showed improved shareholders' funds and net assets, giving the company a stronger financial foundation.

• The mining vision remains on track. Japaul continues to pursue its long-term mining strategy, with ongoing investment and development across its mining assets.

Market Outlook

The stock market prices future expectations. If Japaul continues to execute its mining plans and delivers further progress, the market could continue to revalue the company.

Based on the company's recent progress, a move toward ₦5—and possibly higher over time—appears achievable, provided execution continues and market sentiment remains supportive.

Bottom Line: The Q1 & Q2 2026 results, fresh capital, mining investment, stronger governance and subsidiary restructuring all point in one direction: JapaulGold appears to be moving from planning to execution, giving investors more reasons to stay optimistic.

This is purely better characterized as a bullish, promotional piece that omits the risk warnings, regulatory disclosures, and independent valuation necessary for a professional investment recommendation.... Who's bankrolling you?

It may not get there... Japaulgold has nothing tangible to scale towards such growth.... It's a pure speculative play. Always consider wider sources for your investment decisions... Some of these firms ought not to be allowed to collect investors funds.... Including Oando
