Very docile.

I also believe that tinubu make use of black magic 🎩.

Because I can't explain this level of docility under tinubu. Even buhari the general won't have had it easy.
Actually, they used tribal and religious weapons to cage people. If you talk, they first check your tribe and religion and organize people they pay to attack you. Nigeria is far from healing.

Nigerians should be preparing for that. Though the policy might be tough as the beginning but it's for the king term sustainability of the sector.

The ones that people are plugging cooker, ironing cloth at the same time while electronics are on, it's because they are not paying the real value for the electricity
Na so una dey defend nonsense

Your already paying more for power than Americans and the British

To be honest electricity is over subsidised..
Imagine paying 14 naira per kilowatt hour in kano municipal. Sharada for that matter.

That means if I run a ceiling fan of 120watts for 12hours over night, I would spend just 20 naira. This is why people waste electricity by leaving appliances running even when they're not at home

What exactly does the citizens benefit from this government?
It is not like they will use the money to better the lives of the citizens, instead they will use the money to fund their expensive life style

The way I laugh at fuulish students who think NELFUND is a pathway to their escape from joblessness after graduation is very loud.

It's not subsidy oh! It's the Baron's gimmick of telling you you'll refund the money after election year and definitely the new tax law is already in place waiting to be activated if the demoñ gets back to aso rock come 2027.

I pity Nigerians, you don't know what hell looks like until a wicked man like the baron starts implementing Hell's policies.

A wicked spirit is a wicked spirit. And that spirit currently lives in aso rock.
How will nelfund be escape to joblessness? NELFUND is a way of empowerment for people that want to go to school but lack the capacity. It's not a way out of joblessness. Nigerians want free things. We can only achieve steady power supply if we are paying cost reflective price for power. The FG is no longer subsidizing for band A and many people including myself are enjoying it.

Were you not informed that you'll have light and you won't pay for ESTIMATED BILLING
Estimated billing measure your poverty and bill you lower.
Removal of estimated billing means you'll pay in Full.

So you mean to tell me countries where people enjoy free education are fools? You people seem to have Stockholm Syndrome so you will always quote North America. Herr is a list of countries where public education is free for citizens:

Germany

Norway

Finland

Iceland

Czech Republic

Iran (this one is at war and you guys always abuse them. In fact, you are paying for more fuel because they are at war 🤡)

Brazil

Argentina

Saudi Arabia

To be more specific for higher education which NELFUND concerns, Germany, Norway, Finland, Iceland, Czech Republic, Iran, Brazil, Argentina, and Saudi Arabia all offer free higher education for their citizens. What exactly are you enjoying from your government

Cutezt:
So, what exactly is it that we've been paying for all this time?

I was in an Uber with an American friend to the airport after her visit to Nigeria. While we were in the car, she was searching through her handbag for something when her passport slipped out. She picked it up and handed it to me to hold while she continued looking.

As I held that passport, I was overwhelmed by a thought. I turned to her and said, You probably don't even realize the power and privileges this little booklet gives you.

She smiled and replied, Yours carries power too.

I couldn't help but laugh.

I told her, "If you sincerely asked me to mention one tangible benefit of being a Nigerian citizen, I honestly wouldn't know what to say."

This is someone studying at Oxford University, one of the most prestigious universities in the world, with her education funded by her government while studying abroad. She came to Nigeria to conduct research for her thesis.

It made me wonder:

What tangible benefits does the average Nigerian truly receive simply from being a Nigerian citizen?

What exactly are we getting from our government in return?
you benefit only from free manure.
Ask me how.
As cattle loiter around your area and poop on the floor, that's about the only thing you benefit you can quickly scoop some of hot steamy thud and go enrich your home garden that's if you even have any

Stop shifting goal post. Is it free education that's your focus or the fact that NELFUND will(not) translate to automatic employment?

If it's free education you are talking about, Nigeria as a country can't afford free quality education for its citizens.

I am going to disagree with your Kano analog because the electricity in the North like Kano is predominantly generated from cheaper hydroelectric dams and not expensive natural gas like in the South.
