Asangbekoko:
My good sister, why are you still marketing Oando?
Do you recall that we have been debating and hoping about this stock for over a decade now?
Kindly accept my due respect.
Really because u are the guru in oando matter. Was the H2 result improvement to H2 2025 even if is below our expectation. It didn't change the fact that it was far better. So you opinion is personal and your right. The revenue went up with 343 billion
The equity deficit improved by 70 billion
Pat went up.Target to 50,000 barrels is still on course since they are at 32,000 now
Don't come and make noise about 2.7 trillion debt. That is not new development. We Wait to see how management tries to reduce it in future. From finding they have not really revamped the new assets acquired like the case of aradel which assets are producing optimally already. That was why it had more production outputs and revenue greater revenue jump.we are also analysing the results.
Final answer oando will deliver at medium to long time.
Why this verdict. That is from every thing in that result onado is crawling out of the hole and not digging deeper for oil after reaching water...lol

It may not get there... Japaulgold has nothing tangible to scale towards such growth.... It's a pure speculative play. Always consider wider sources for your investment decisions... Some of these firms ought not to be allowed to collect investors funds.... Including Oando
I respect your view, but I think it's too early to conclude JapaulGold has "nothing tangible."

The market isn't pricing only today's earnings—it's pricing future potential. JapaulGold has been repositioning through its mining business, strengthening its balance sheet, and raising capital specifically to execute that strategy. Whether management delivers is what the market will judge over time.

Yes, the stock has speculative elements, but that doesn't automatically make it a bad investment. Many successful growth companies traded on expectations long before their earnings caught up.

Time is money. Japaulgold has nothing to scale up. It's overpriced based merely on speculation. Hope it's not a Ponzi stock... The fact that you're marketing it like it is among an ngx30 turnaround story is exceedingly suspicious.... Again I respect your hustle even though I don't agree
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Streetinvestor2: 11:49am On Aug 01
Let look at numbers beyond sentiments as I have stopped emotional attachments to any stock like I did many yrs
For this reasons I have pencil out stocks I will be selling once I see small upsides.
I gave them benefits of doubt to q2 results and not satisfied with what I got

On oando beyond the mathematical percentage stuff compared to aradel results.
Pls no doubt that aradel results was wonderful, beautiful etc.I was not OK initially with PAT and eps from the revenue blast. Then someone pointed out to the cause as deferred tax obligations

Looking at H2 results for 2025 and 2026 for both.I came to conclusion that oando results was not a disaster
Here is why. This is for top line figures only.

H2 2025 and 2026 for both.

Aradel grew revenue from 159 billion to 581 billion
While oando grew revenue from 1.72 trillion to 2.06 trillion
That means aradel added 422 billion and oando added 343 billion
As business man it is easy to grow 1 million to 3 million. And not easy task to turn 10 million to 30 million. You may end up adding 5 or 6 million to that 10 million And when you do the percentage. The first senerio will be shouting in percentage.

Now back to production outputs that generated this revenues
Oando production was 32,000 boepd(oil,gas,NGLs)
Aradel 141,1000 boepd(oil,gas,NGLs)
I hope you get why I said oando top line was not a disaster or the whole results

This brings to a question what is the production stage or positions by the different assets acquired by these to companies recently. And how have both been able to revamp them and integrate it to existing performance. What do you think will happen if oando finally start hitting 100,000 boepd and above like aradel is doing presently. So I stand to say oando is crawling out and not turning to a disaster like I condemn stocks here still digging deeper into existing problems....my opinion

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by londonerr: 11:54am On Aug 01
Aradel and Oando are not in the same sector. One is a complete system with it's own refinery, competent management who have investors in mind. The goals of management is aligned with that of the shareholders.

The other has divergent goals. If break even happens in Oando today....the management might decide to go and acquire another moribund asset elsewhere.... taking deliberate care to deprived the long-suffering ordinary shareholders of their financial benefits.... I don't understand why Oando CEO is the top two best remunerated after MTN Nigeria.... At a time the firm shareholders are doing night vigils.... Profit tanking, share prices plummeting the CEO was busy increasing remuneration by 67%....

My financial advise:
Sell OANDO. No matter how long you travel on the wrong road you'll never get to the desired destination....the earlier you turn back and get on the right lane the better for you.

Even when Oando was running petrol stations I had the worst experience with them in Abuja....

Summary of the Welcome Speech by Alhaji (Dr.) Umaru Kwairanga

Group Chairman, Nigerian Exchange Group (NGX) 3rd Business Journal Fintech & Financial Inclusion Roundtable – July 31, 2026

Alhaji (Dr.) Umaru Kwairanga expressed his pleasure at chairing the 3rd Business Journal Fintech and Financial Inclusion Roundtable, themed "Fintech: Driving the Future of the Digital Financial Ecosystem in Nigeria." He emphasized that financial technology (fintech) is transforming Nigeria's financial services landscape and accelerating financial inclusion.

Reflecting on his early banking career over three decades ago, he noted that banking was heavily paper-based. Customers had to visit physical branches for nearly every service, while banks maintained extensive manual records for customer identification (KYC), loan applications, bank drafts, and teller operations.

He contrasted this with today's digital environment, where customers can:

• Open bank accounts within minutes using mobile apps.

• Complete KYC digitally.

• Apply for loans and receive approvals quickly.

• Transfer large sums of money remotely.

• Purchase insurance and invest in both local and international stocks from their smartphones.

According to him, these innovations have made financial services faster, more convenient, and more accessible, encouraging greater adoption among Nigerians and significantly advancing the country's financial inclusion agenda. He humorously remarked that technology has made his old "Tally Number" system obsolete.

Speaking on NGX's role, he highlighted the Exchange's significant investments in fintech and digital initiatives aimed at expanding participation in Nigeria's capital market and promoting a culture of savings and investment. He noted that most NGX trading licence holders now provide mobile trading platforms that allow investors to buy and sell stocks and bonds directly from their devices.

He also highlighted the success of NGX Invest, a digital platform introduced during the recent banking recapitalisation exercise to enable seamless, paperless subscriptions to public offers and rights issues. Building on this success, he announced that the anticipated Dangote Refinery IPO is expected to be a fully digital offering designed to attract millions of new investors.

Dr. Kwairanga acknowledged that the progress made in fintech and financial inclusion would not have been possible without the collaborative efforts of regulators such as the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), NAICOM, and other stakeholders. He also commended the innovation, entrepreneurship, and resilience of fintech operators, particularly young technology entrepreneurs, whose contributions continue to drive the industry's growth.

Commenting on the conference, he expressed confidence that the combination of experienced professionals and emerging tech entrepreneurs on the panel would generate practical, implementable ideas that would further deepen financial inclusion and create value for the Nigerian economy.

He concluded by congratulating the organisers for successfully hosting the roundtable and wished all participants a productive and rewarding conference.

All your talk is always about someone being poor. It is a bad mentality. I spend 800 dollars a year and I don't need more than that. A single person living alone in Ilesa does not need more than that. You need to coordinate yourself

Frankly, I am seeing the same thing as you mentioned here. My initial reaction after reading some damning comments was to sell off and lick my wounds (losses), but i am thinking to wait a little and buy more at even reduced prices.

Again DYOR. Every mallam to his kettle shaa.

yMcy56:
Reading thru some of the comments on OANDO, I think many posters here are actually posting their already negative minds because they will never see anything good about the company no matter what......

I quoted yours because you were a bit fair in your assessment.

Why are people not seeing the positive line items in the results?

Though still going thru the results with my amateur lens, but so far, there are quite some improvements and positive aspects of the results.......
* The increase in Revenue
* The drastic reduction in the liabilities
* The exponential cash at hand.....
* The return to profits from losses in 2025
* The provision made for dividends......
prompt reporting of Q2....etc.

So why are all these ignored while all Agba (for instance) could see/mention is the finance costs? 🙄😁
Anyone bother to read the notes to the financial reports yet?
What if some profits are hidden under finance costs to drastically reduce the Tax that goes to the govt?

For all I could see from Market reactions, this negative thoughts/fear seems priced in the share price already.

As usual, we'll wait on the detailed breakdown of the results by the non-biased analysts. tongue

For education and clarification purposes, what is the CEO, et al cost a percentage of? As at 2025, the Oando CEO remuneration cost as a percentage of the company's profit is 0.88%
