RC Investment representing Barbican Capital Ltd (Otudeko and the Odukales) is coming for block divestment of 22.94% of FIRST HOLDCO shares @N110....as from today 3rd August....😁

Will Otedola and his fellow billionaires handle this or there's a plan to Cross Deal on ground already?

Let's see how the drama unfolds....😊

** Meanwhile, FIRSTHOLDCO is officially at 136.40 in market.......intraday up to 138+ as at now!

If otedola buys, he goes to almost 50% shareholding. Doubt it but that'll be something to talk about!

Stockpromoter:
JAPAULGOLD DESERVES A 10% MOVE TODAY

After the release of a strong Q2 2026 report, the market is finally beginning to recognize the improving fundamentals of JapaulGold.

Many shareholders have remained patient through months of accumulation and volatility. Today's positive reaction is not just about one trading session—it's the market starting to price in the company's improving outlook.

A 10% gain today would simply be fair compensation for investors who stayed the course while others doubted the story.

The journey is still unfolding, but the Q2 numbers have strengthened the investment case. If buying interest and volume remain strong, today's rally could be the start of a broader market re-rating rather than just a one-day spike.

Patience is often rewarded.
Congratulations to everyone who believed and held.

This is my personal opinion and not financial advice. Please do your own research.
"Deserves" grin

Otedola already envisaged this will happen, reason he was accumulating plenty to beat their 23% shareholding.....
He currently have over 26% shareholding ( I mean Otedola)...
So, even if he didn't pick their shares, he still have higher % than theirs... (Which I believed he will pick some of it maybe thru a proxy to further increase his holdings)...

Though it says block divestment, so it's possible there's a buyer or buyers on ground already..

But what happens if the new buyer (of the block shares) already owns like 10% or 15% stake in FBN? That makes it 33% or 38% which would be higher than Otedola's 26%.
The fight for the soul of FBN may be far from over

Both are good barring any unforseen circumstance(s).

He/she could actually have both by making it 60/40 or 50/50.....
Diversification is equally important in this business as both belongs to different industry/sector.

Then there may be more accumulations from Ote$$ to beat them......😊

All these competitions are just giving FBNH hedge.....
I think the rivalry is healthy because having just an individual with such substantial units looks a bit risky......IMO

We need to know other substantial individual shareholders of FBNH too.....I think it's important.

Thr is a game going on
The guys selling won't sell to otedola. That is why he has been buying to get to that percentage ownership. This guys are definitely moving it to someone or third party to consolidate thr ownership. The war for the ownership of FBNH is not yet over. Ote has to get to 30% or the other group gets to 30% which I think is the max approved by cbn.Who will chicken out is what we Wait to see.Na two elephant dey fight so.The otedoke group only want to change name of the holding entity for them in cross arrangement

You're right....
To me, the rivalry is ok....
Will be good if it's moved to third party....

If otedola wants to be the individual with highest substantial holdings, fine!
..but let another person also own substantial units close to him....
That way, FBNH would have aversed any future problem(s)

At the end of the day, as a shareholder, I hope all these struggle and fight for the soul of the bank will not be detrimental and destructive.

When big men are fighting over something, make the grass bekiafu.

You are right.
I think things are smooth now probably because the directors have not started splitting into factions and clashing in board meetings. Once it gets to that, then it may start having some negative effects.
