The 2026 April.
The September 2026.
Now October 2026.
Maybe it will finally happen in 2027.

WHAT IS THE MARKET GOING TO DO TODAY!!
Today, the fundamentals and the technicals are in agreement, we are likely to see a bearish market with Allshare index index likely to range between -0.28 to -1.08

It will take a miracle for today to show any bullish sign.

Also, we want to lift some veil off what we do at the forum. For those who are interested (but we will only send to few people), we will send our full analysis of today's buy sell signals, stock by stock. Note that this report is just a part of what we share everyday.

If you have this report, you will be like your own analyst without any confusion.

JAPAULGOLD – What Comes Next?

The market asked for volume, and it appeared yesterday. The next technical signals to watch over the coming trading sessions are:

- Price follow-through – Can the stock build on yesterday's activity?
- Support holding – Staying above key support would keep the bullish structure intact.
- Sustained buying pressure – Continued strong demand would confirm accumulation.
- Breakout attempt – A decisive move above recent resistance could trigger the next upward leg.

Bottom Line: Yesterday's volume was the first confirmation. The next phase is for the market to prove that the buying interest can translate into a sustained price advance.

19. *Zenith Bank Plc* - `ZENITHBANK`

If you want to follow Big Money players, now you know where they go to...
Are you sure about BUAFOODS.

The reason why I asked are as follows:
1. Relatively new listing. FPIs were leaving when the company listed.
2. Relatively low free float. Liquidity issue when it comes to buying and selling the stock as FPIs usually have deep pockets.

Cheers 🍻

Seeing the offer volume consistently 2-3 times larger than the bid volume does suggest persistent selling pressure. However, it does not necessarily mean GTCO is fundamentally weak. Here are the most likely reasons from my honest observations

1. Profit-taking. GTCO rallied strongly over the past year, so many institutional and retail investors are locking in gains after the dividend and price appreciation.

2. Portfolio rotation. Large funds are moving money into other NGX stocks they believe have greater short-term upside (such as selected industrials, oil & gas, or other banking names), creating more sell orders in GTCO.

3. Large institutional exits. GTCO is one of the most liquid stocks on the NGX. When institutional investors need cash, they often sell GTCO because they can dispose of large volumes more easily than less-liquid stocks. High trading activity in H1 2026 reflects this liquidity.

4. Valuation concerns. Some investors believe much of the good news - record earnings, strong capital position, and generous dividends - has already been reflected in the share price, so they are waiting for a cheaper entry point. GTCO nevertheless continues to report strong profitability and capital ratios.

5. Waiting for the H1 2026 results. Investors often reduce exposure before major earnings releases if they are uncertain whether results will exceed market expectations.

One thing to remember is that a large offer queue alone is not bearish. Sometimes a big seller is gradually distributing shares while institutional buyers quietly absorb them. If that selling is absorbed without a major price decline, it can actually be a sign of underlying strength.

For me, the key questions should be:

Is the share price making lower lows? If not, the selling may simply be supply being absorbed.

Is trading volume increasing on down days? That would indicate stronger distribution.

Are foreign and institutional investors net buyers or net sellers?

I hope this helps?

JapaulGold Market Watch

Yesterday's exceptional volume may not have been a one-off event. Despite the relatively small bid/offer sizes on the order book, today's trading suggests that larger players could still be active behind the scenes.

If another high-volume session is recorded while the price remains stable, it will strengthen the case for continued accumulation ahead of the 21 August AGM.

Bottom Line: Watch today's volume closely. A second consecutive day of strong turnover with price holding firm would be another constructive signal that interest in JapaulGold remains high and the market is positioning for the next move.

Very good?

This is an Investment thread and we deal with figures, units of shares, amount invested, interest rates on our loans, profits from our trades, percentage gain, dividend yield, portfolio..

Different strokes for different folks.

The figures motivate those who are seeing improvements in their portfolios and growing their wealth but annoys those who are only making money for their Stockbrokers and can't point to any tangible wealth they have been able create trading in shares for ages[/quote]

With the population and potential that Nigeria has, we should have been doing things like these several decades ago.
Imagine the possible dynamics and balance of influence if major Nigerian banks, telecoms, O&G companies etc were to be dominating SA and neigbhouring countries with Nigerian expatriates.
