ppogba:The PSBs are good but their loan rates are indeed pretty much outrageous. Unfortunately, most of the users of the loans don't study it and/or don't care about rates. The PSBs continue to thrive in the loan business because they are easily accessible. |

NSEstudent:Kinda. As required by Court. Otudeko was asked to forfeit it. But he doesn't want to sell to Otedola.. That's the crux. But the argument is whether it will go to FBN purse as a company or fellow shareholders. To which I think it will definitely go to fellow shareholders and not FBN, cuz it's termed "share sale". |

NSEstudent:In life, anything called loans can never be palatable. Easy to collect, difficult to pay. |

chimex38:does that mean it will be distributed to shareholders as special dividend? |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by chimex38: 3:19pm On Aug 08 |
Princkez:No. To sell it out to any prefered buyer on the floor or cross deals and relinquish his grip on the bank and quash some other allegations as part of court order or so some yrs ago. |

chimex38:The money is going to FBNH as part of the insider loan he gave to himself which was classified under NPL Under his watch/ new management. FBNH wrote off over 3 trillion NPL And to remove his controlling power in the board of FBNH management FBN is using the money to hit higher capitalisation far above what cbn demanded. I trillion capital base |

ppogba:But I was told NELFUND is the best thing to happen to Nigeria youths by this government So it an achievement that calls for celebrations instead of subsidy in education. What a contradiction from ur type...lol |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by lionshare: 4:14pm On Aug 08 |
Streetinvestor2:That’s an assumption talk to your banker. |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by ppogba: 4:31pm On Aug 08 |
Streetinvestor2:" Whatever faces a person, most likely has it's back turned to another".......... African proverb. For an indigent, brilliant first child in a family of eight who obtains NELFUND to see himself avoid dropping out in the Uni, his or her view will be totally different from yours. FACT. It is what you know without anyone telling you that higher education is not cheap anywhere especially the so called advanced countries that your ilk are always fond of making reference to. In one breath, you want cheaper higher education, in another you also want top class, internationally competitive higher education all combined into one. It is only hypocrisy that can make that possible. However, no one is and cannot deny you your right to ever find fault in what a government that you hate with all your energy does. It is understandable. |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Streetinvestor2: 5:10pm On Aug 08 |
ppogba:I supported the removal of fuel subsidy but never supported the removal of subsidy in education and health sector I believe nigeria can afford even free education in tertiary education if this government bring out half of the wasted and looted fund. Thr is no justification for any youth to start thr life on loan.It was free to me during my time @ 1900 and 90 accommodation. Every student could pay it.Infact many state in the North gave thr student 5k as bursary which was above the total package of sch fees and accommodation. So why should they now live on loan for it.The money saved from fuel subsidy should have been channelled to subsidize education and health sector. The bills you see in government hospitals is almost the same in private hospitals this days |
