"Men" here is not a monolith. I don't mind if my girl has tattoos or multiple piercings as long as it's not over the top (No pun intended). 3 & 4 hold true for me. If my supposed girl has multiple male friends, then that will signal to me that she's either shagging them or she's a closet lesbian. It may be nothing but that will worry me. Then number 4 is valid too - I don't care about how much she banks, though I'd love the fact that she's holding her own and ambitious.

You just reminded me of something.

On my wedding day I saw my wife after the makeup artist had finished her work, and I was very angry. She doesn't wear makeup on a normal day but since it was her wedding, I thought it would just be light makeup, along with the traditional Benin bridal regalia.

I asked the makeup artist why she had done such heavy makeup, and she said it was my wife's elder sister's idea.

I immediately told her to wipe everything off.

What I understand is that ladies are just compounding their woes

I do know, my husband also doesn't like wigs and I too never liked them, I've only worn a wig once in my lifetime when I was a bridesmaid and immediately removed it after the wedding reception... I've also never worn weaves before and even if one day I eventually do, I'd probably opt for those clip on weaves just to give my natural hair some volume when I go out and remove them upon returning back home.

In fact, it baffles me how African women are able to survive under those wigs in this blazing hot African weather.

The mind boggles. I am favouring completely natural looks these days. It was initially a bit of a challenge when I was turning up at work with natural weaves and everyone else had "goat hair", as my father calls it, pinned to their heads. However in time I got used to it and now it is difficult going back to artificial weaves. I too dislike wigs and can't wear it for more than a couple of days, and that is only when my natural hair is too rough to take to certain places. I have just one wig, a braided wig I bought like 4 or 5 years ago and only wear it like twice or three times a year.

I just loosened weaves after just one month and in that one month my scalp felt like I was carrying a heavy load. Now I am sporting didi with my natural hair. No time biko. Let breeze touch the head small make person no craze.

Even with Casper, I feel like shaving him each time I see him...🤣🤣🤣
