They actually gave and they were optimistic that before September ending ..infact they stated 98% sure that they will surely deliver this year...as the plant has been installed already..and securities are in place both formal from state govt and informal ie guards, soldiers are on ground..this was due to someone's question regarding what they are doing concerning this insecurity issues in this plant location in the north.infact they claimed 25billion naira as revenue is a meagre amount to what they are looking forward to..and promised to start paying dividends once they clean their books..but you know all these cowboys now.. grin
What about their N250b or is it N500b capital raise? Did they talk about it?
What about planned share reconstruction ?

📉 Insurance selling remains intense.

⚠️ SUNUASSUR and GUINEAINS have already printed fresh 52-week lows.
🟢 VERITASKAP stands alone in green at ₦1.39 (+3.73%).
... the pressure is clearly sector wide.
Quite a different finish from what we were seeing in the morning

Early selling pressure was real, but buyers showed up in some of the names that looked most vulnerable. FTGINSURE bounced from yesterday's -9.76% drop to close at ₦2.00 (+8.11%), while GUINEAINS recovered from a fresh 52-week low to finish at ₦0.77 (+4.05%).

Selling remained concentrated in INTENEGINS (₦3.87, -10.00%), while CORNERST (₦4.90) still ended the session at a new 52-week low.

This lawyer guy it looks u play betnaija in real lol
Why do u like to gamble alot in this business
You won't buy sound stocks now that they are calling for buy knowing they will be the first to be flying when the time comes
The other time I saw u mentioning buying some two insurance stocks. Did you look at the new OS of this insurance companies. Do you know what it will take many of them to generate profits that will make thr eps make sense in the next 5 yrs.You see many of those new capital will enter voice mail.As many don't really have business plans that can contribute anything to thr revenue .This is what a typical insurance company in nigeria is all about no business ideas
Abi u get carried away by the number of units u have in a stock...no offence

No offence taken.. Na you sabi. Na tesere I buy for the insurance stocks from sale of some of my remaining Ellah (currently have 250,000 units of Ellah remaining from my initial 3 million units). made good profit from sale of "bet naija" Ellah. Just 500,000 units each in regency and guinea and I can easily exit anytime... I certainly will buy more if price significantly dips.. you and I know that price appreciation can sometimes be sentimental.. or artificially induced. Also the new insurance laws favour insurance sector. I will certainly buy more of Japaul if price significantly dips. I strongly believe in the vision and if they pull off their gold refinery thing, it could be really hoooooooge grin Japaul is long term play for me.
You wey no do bet naija don hook for Oando. No be poetic justice be dat? "Oando don cast" grin I dey wait to buy Oando at N12 - N15 cool
No offence

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by essentialone(m): 6:55am On Aug 22
*IEI public offer: 5 investors took 65% of N25.84bn*

International Energy Insurance Plc’s public offer was *147.67% oversubscribed*, raising *N25.84 billion*. But the bulk went to just 5 big applicants.

*The breakdown*
1. *The Big 5*:
- Applied for *100,000,001 shares and above* each
- Got *5,218,748,000 shares* worth *N16.7 billion*
- That’s *65% of total value raised* and *64.6% of total 8.07bn shares* allotted
- Only *0.01% of total applications* by count

2. *Everyone else - 33,635 applicants*:
- Accounted for *N9.14 billion*, just *35% of total*
- *24,848 investors* were in the 1,001–50,000 shares bracket. That’s 73.86% of all applications but only ~N855.66m in value
- *3,912 applicants* in 1–1,000 shares bracket: N12.52m total

Every application across all 11 brackets got *100% allotment*. So the concentration is from application size, not preferential treatment.

*Refunds & timeline*
IEI will refund *N60.32 million* total:
- *N10.68m* excess from 40 applications
- *N49.64m* with no corresponding application
Refunds via RTGS/NEFT with interest by *6 Aug 2026*.
E-allotment via CSCS by *18 Aug 2026*.

*Why this matters*
1. *Recapitalisation*: IEI needs capital to meet new insurance minimum-capital requirements. Shareholders approved up to *N17.5bn* raise in Jan 2026.
2. *Norrenberger angle*: They already converted N2bn deposit to equity and hold *50.61% controlling stake* after acquiring 649.8m shares. This offer further strengthens their position.
3. *Investor appetite*: Strong subscription despite IEI’s history of financial challenges. Shows institutional/HNW appetite for insurance stocks under the new capital regime.

So it was oversubscribed, but dominated by big money. Retail showed up in numbers, but not in value.

No stock needs advertising. Updates, information, and News about stocks and companies, are not advertisements. If they are to you, then you are sick and need a doctor.

Fair point, but the market can sometimes price in expectations before the actual outcome. Friday’s movement may not fully reflect the AGM outcome, especially if investors are waiting for the details and what management announces afterward.
