This data boiz from SW are lo... grin
They don't know the nature of the crime during the colonial era. What crime can they think in the late 50's under colonial rule

This proves that our neigbours from the East proved very stubborn against colonial rule.
lol
In 1958 huh
When the colonialists were packing their bags to leave Nigeria.
Were the Igbos resisting them to leave Nigeria because they love how they were been imprisoned?

The so called crime: Resisting British rules in Igboland.
They were the most supportive of British colonialism .

How did the Igbos welcome the colonial masters and what was the reaction of the colonial masters to the sort of welcome they received from the Igbos? Did any of those reactions include incarceration? Let's begin from there.

We can also have a conversation about how convenient the British found it to imprison any Igbo person at the slightest hint of a conflict without hearing them out, but let's keep that for another day. The numbers don't lie, so do the facts.

PS: Adults are supposed to be capable of complete thoughts, but if all adults were, there'd be fewer cases of idiots growing old too.
You lie.

Ibos were willing to serve the Europeans more than any other tribe in Nigeria.

The Ibos scattered in the north came about by following the British colonialists everywhere serving as potters , house help , etc.

Dalohad:
This was during the colonialist era, while yorubas were meek and welcome the colonial power, the Ibos really gave the colonial mongrels a hard time. From the Anglo-Ekumeku wars to the Anglo-Aro wars, and the Aba women riots against excruciating taxation, the Ibo would refuse to be lorded over without taking a good pound of flesh from the British colonial. While we yorubas and hausas were simply 'Halleluyah boys' and house slaves of the British, the Igbo were giving it to them hot!

That explains why many Ibos were thrown into colonial prison. Even Zik was once imprisoned in Broad Street prisons which is now known as 'Freedom Park' overlooking the General Hospital Lagos.

It also explains why they (British) fought very hard against the Igbos during the Biafra Civil wars, where Hausa and Yorubas were just tools in the British hands.

The Igbos were good rebels against the Brutish British. They should be proud.
So is it still British colonialists that are jailing your people in Thailand, India, and South Africa ?

If you go through the attached doc you will see that majority are first time offenders serving sentences less than 6months for petty crime .

Over 60% of inmates were convicted as first offenders and the sentencing shows majority were serving under 6 months prison time.

It's on record that after the initial gra gra from Aro cultists over British ending slave trade, the people of SE were the most likely to serve the British diligently .

Anyone the British appointed as Warrant Chief was automatically seen as a god.

So you know the British even appointed a female pr0stitute as Warrant Chief on the basis that she was the only one in her community who could speak pidgin English which she picked up doing sex work in Idah ?

There was no resistance .

Truth is coming out small small data boi. So you have heard about the Aros from our neigbours grin

It is because they could not speak English is the issue that they were in Prison. Read what you wrote again and see that iur neigbours from the East are free borns who rejected the colonial imperialism of the British people ecause of their egalitarian society and the courage that came with it.

The British hated our neigbours because they were deviant, stubborn to accept the British rule even their women faces the British like lioness and were hounded into Prisonlike their men

I can never say that about where you come from data boi.

The only one whose sense is located in the outer solar system are those ones who want us to believe that their high incarceration rates was because they were fighting the British for independence.

Igbos has always been fighting for freedom from operation and manipulation.

This is why indirect rule failed in the entire igbo land but succeed in the west and North because of manipulation of mind.

Aro were only foolishly fighting to supply Rothschild his Ibo slaves .

You do know that some warrant chiefs still held license to carry on with supplying Rothschild owned plantations in South America with slaves sourced from among their people up till as late as 1907?

Well, trade in humans never ended in your side.

Yes.

And it was writing by a fellow ibo like yourself and published on The New Yorker .

Adaobi Tricia Nwaubani's My Great-Grandfather, Nigerian Slave-Trader published by the New Yorker.

"...he carried a slave-trading license from the Royal Niger Company, an English corporation that ruled southern Nigeria. His agents captured slaves across the region and passed them to middlemen, who brought them to the ports of Bonny and Calabar and sold them to white merchants. Slavery had already been abolished in the United States and the United Kingdom, but his slaves were legally shipped to Cuba and Brazil. "

So how does slave trade correlate with the discussion of prisoners being from igboland? Or were they jailing the slave traders then? shocked or was it the slaves being imprisoned? 🤔
