Thought I'd outgrown this shii. But ist getting worse. I don't like being hugged especially by females. When someone reaches out to hug me I feel like getting out of that situation really quick.

I swear. I can take a hug from little kids, babies, but not grown ups. Thank God. I think say na only me. I feel like I offended an old classmate when she tried hugging me and I shifted one side somewhat.

Sounds like unresolved trauma. Humans are naturally drawn to touch, if you are rejecting it then something is impinging on your mind when it happens. Maybe explore memories of your childhood and formative years, you might recall what triggered this type of response.

I'll give you an instance. Growing up my parents unduly restricted my going out and the question where are you going became symbolic of that restriction. Anytime anybody asks me that question now I get very angry.

I resisted a hug from a lady colleague at work the other day, she was like 'You should even be happy that I wanted to hug you'.

In as much as I don't have issues with hugs, as a man wey I be, I have limits of getting close to me, especially if you're not my babe or my child. I have a neighbour, my uncle's friend, very friendly and playful. He's much more older than me. Tall and lanky, always happy and joyful anytime He's greeted. But the issue is that, when even ever I greet him, he will like to hug me instead and I always feel his hood because he doesn't put on boxers before wearing trousers. It disgust me alot. But now, I have learnt that greeting him from a distance is just ideal since I can't tell him what I feel

interesting. I can't recall ever experiencing anything that traumatic. I've always been adverse to touch. Even public display of affection I don't like it.
