Sometimes, I genuinely get irritated watching how some men behave around women.

One evening, while heading home, I stopped at an aboki spot to buy suya. A lady walked up almost at the same time.

I stylishly scanned her with my side-eye and immediately noticed that she was carrying the kind of backside that could make a pastor forget his sermon mid-sentence.

So I decided to start a conversation.

I turned towards her and said with a completely straight face:
“I already know your plan. I see what you're trying to do.”

She looked at me, confused, and said: “Good evening... how? I don't understand?”

I said:

While I was there, another man walked towards the suya spot. And immediately, I knew why he was there. He was pretending to buy suya… but he was there to toast the girl.

Ah. I was wrong.

While I was withdrawing, I watched him trying to force a conversation with the lady. I couldn't hear what they were saying. But from the vibe. I could tell she was giving him lots of attitude. Then he brought out his phone. I could tell he was asking for her number. The irritation on her face was obvious.

A minute later, I finished withdrawing and walked back.

By then, the aboki had finished packing her suya. As she was about to pay, the tattooed guy stopped her and said, “Don’t worry, I’ll pay for you.”


She said “Thank you” to him in a condescending manner and immediately started walking away.

In my mind I just said, “Omo… So this brother is simp. After all the tattoos, earring and bad boy look.”

After the guy paid, he ran after her, still begging for her number. Whatever little dignity he had left, he dropped it somewhere on that road.
