I am definitely sure I will see it at #400 after listing. So your 375 is not too low. That is my discount from PP.
Hmm. How soon?

I'm not sure if anyone has noticed, but the fact that the Dangote refinery is requiring a minimum purchase of 10 units and it's Par value of 0.000013USD, is a pointer to a future consolidation of 10 for 1 reverse split, likely before they list on the US market in a few years. 10 units will then become 1 unit. That would pair them up well with/against Seplat for easier price determination/ appreciation/comparison.
Very glaring they'll do reconstruction at some point along the line.

Meanwhile, I learnt Alhaji owns 84.34% control of the shares.

** Just yesterday, NGX lost N1.88 Trillion due to DANGREF IPO huh
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by francesfrances: 11:13am On Sep 09
Almost always, overhyped IPO or IPO generally do pop (appreciate) at listing, but liquidity sweep (grabs) and exit liquidity are also real. Please, for now, do not invest your emergency funds, savings or an amount you can't afford to lose in any IPO or overhyped IPO at listing.

As way back as 100 years ago, oil producing countries operate their own refineries. That Nigeria doesn't have an operational refinery doesn't make a 2026 private refinery a revolutionary concept

May God continue to help us. Amen

You may be right.
But it would be wrong pr misleading for them to see Seplat as their rival, competitor, industry benchmark etc.
The refinery sells refined products and operates in the midstream/downstream sector supplying to retail local and foreign customers.
Seplat drills, sells crude, and operates in the upstream, supplying to only foreign customers (refineries etc)

Speculation promaxx.
You can say that again! List 120 billion units on the US market in a couple of years? No, not likely at less than a Dollar. Time will reveal what it holds.

According to the Dangote Petroleum Refinery IPO prospectus:

1. Minimum Holding Periods
First Bonus Tier: Continuous hold for 12 months from the date of allotment.

Second Bonus Tier: Continuous hold for an additional 12 months (total of 24 months from allotment).

2. Reward Structure
12 Months: Eligible retail investors receive 1 bonus share for free.

24 Months: Eligible retail investors receive 1 additional bonus share for free (capping the total incentive at 2 bonus shares per eligible retail investor).

Yes, you are right, BUT, the comparison is not really in terms of operations but that of yield, dividends, price to price shoulder to shoulder, value to value. It's in giants to show strength.

Okay.
On the possible conversion, I think a 10 to 1 ratio would be too steep. That would automatically any future price x 10
A conversion ratio of 5 to 1 would be more realistic, to me.

Oh, ok...
I think say you too wan become Refinery shareholder 😊
I read somewhere here that they even made loss last year, how are we sure the profit posted this year wasn't padded?

Besides, the Hype is too much for the Refinery..
When hype is much like this, better to step aside...
One can always buy on the secondary floor after listing and more results are released.

One close relative don call me today say it's necessary to participate in the Refinery, say Dem must buy...... I said it's ok, I no fit shalaye...😊
This is the first time I am observing that you are not bullish on a stock.

I used to assume you're the direct opposite of Agba.

It is the price that is making people to pull back.
It would have been different if the IPO price was like N100 or N200 per share.

If Dangote, with his business conglomerate, especially with one of the largest refineries in the world could be said to be ''hyped'', then the whole NGX and its performance is ''hyped''

Please is this irrespective of number of holding? Like someone with 10 shares and another with 10,000 shares will both get same 1 or 2 shares or is it per unit? Thanks.

The use of electronic application might curtail or reduce the oversubscription to some extent.
From my understanding, any investor planning to use the hardcopy Application Form must apply for a minimum of 50,000 units (N26.25m)

Lol 😆
I'm direct opposite of Agba
Generally tilted towards positive and Bullish market.

I'd expected DANGREF to bring favourable sentiments to the market but now, it's causing more losses than blessings....
I can't be bullish on it...

What type of stock will be coming to the market and causing investors such grief huh

Which was possible only under a failed government
As we know a new government is coming next yr.
It means it will never happen
And even if it collapse it will never go back to like 2 yrs u claimed u left.So you did not outsmart the market. It looks the cooperate fund or public fund you normally invest around November to pull out the subsequent yr is no longer available.

Using digital method won't affect affect it much.
Non-tech savvy investors have banks managers, brokers, aids etc that will willingly collect paper copy/hard copy and help them digitize it.

It's no big deal.

Rather the electronic method will even skyrocket the oversubscription.

Your observation noted. I really kind of think that the 120 billion outstanding shares is crazy. How many companies in NGX have that kind of OS. A share reconstruction might just be in the offing. More so, if that is the case the share price may eventually drop immediately such is proposed. Such share reconstruction had never favoured investors.

But, another school of thought will say that the share price and minimum quantity is arrived at so that every interested retail investor can participate. As no one knows tomorrow, so also know one can rightly predict this market. But, one thing is certain Dangote and the advisory councils/ issuing houses or even the NGX /SEC may know a thing or two about this over-hyped IPO that you and i do not know.

The speculations continue till this IPO come and go............
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by 4willer: 1:07pm On Sep 09
I don't think so. The electronic option will make it easier to control since people will apply using their BVN. Except people want to use multiple BVN and other data sets.

I don't think so,
Rather, the electronic method could be used to detect and reject duplicate or multiple applications by the same person, which would not be the case if it were purely via hardcopy forms, like it used to be.
The electronic forms could be screened and sifted easily to disqualify or reject some applications
