I am not buying the IPO. I however wish those buying and Mr Dangote the very best.

My hope is that the exercise will not end up generating a negative awareness about the stock market to newbies.

If Dangote Refinery dont deliver to the expectations of investors, many will give up on the NGX completely.

ogawisdom:
President of the Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, has assured the investing public that the Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals FZE will be the most viable company in Africa by the end of December 2026.

https://www.channelstv.com/2026/09/14/dangote-refinery-will-be-the-largest-company-in-africa-by-december-end-aliko/

If Alhaji continues this hype over subscription may be more than 10x. He is looking for 2.5T may end up with 25T.

This IPO is giving MMM vibes it's like a fever grin grin grin

Alot of people especially newbies with MMM mindset chasing quick profit fit dey disappointed cool

Meanwhile largest doesn't mean the most profitable or the most investor value creator.

Apart from the security issues—which are obvious and undeniable—this is why I question the "Ebi n pawa" talk. It feels like political noise.

Look at the facts: an ordinary fake CBX took ₦178B from the public. Massive capital-intensive projects are going on in every part of the country—by churches, companies, organisations. The FG is disbursing trillions to states. The First Lady is giving out billions from time to time.

All that money is going into circulation. Money leaves traces and rubs off on people.

But circulation is not distribution. That's the real issue.
Why don't u go round your neighbourhood, hospitals and places of worship to confirm. Go to your village and visit households.Abi u live in banana island whr maybe u don't have large beggers .School has resumed go to account department and see how parents are managing to pay part instead of full school fees

I still ask do you have portfolio investment on ngx
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Jaakay: 4:29pm On Sep 14
Welldone to the vfdgroup gang. Vfd group has been trading within a range for the past couple of weeks. Despite the intra day low trading price, someone comes to mop up at the intra day high.

Does it make sense to sell some vfd to buy oando at this point? The price apperciation of oando in the short term seems more likely than that of vfdgroup.

He must give us better update about the turnaround. He distributed shares last time. See how Alhaji dey manage and sell him market with high 2026 margin. Or how Seplat has grown in the last 10 years. Shame suppose catch Wale. He must deliver something good and much better this time around.

People's experiences don't remove the fact that ₦1.4 trillion came in from different places in a few hours—and that money is from some people's surpluses. It's not money they need for survival.

Please be gentle with me. Let's put the energy in my last line of the post. How do we as a nation solve the problem I identified in that line?

So how do we solve it? How do we, as a nation—public and private sector practitioners, Christians, Muslims, other religions, wealthy and poor—ensure that the wealth in Nigeria is well distributed?

That's the conversation I want to have.

That is exactly what will happen
After this ipo In the next 2 to 3 yrs people will begin to see stock investment like apc party. It will chase many away from stocks. Do you know many loss money in Dangote flour ipo
In my case I wrote it off when tiger brand bought it from Dangote.
Then by miracle Dangote bought it back below what he sold it to tiger brand. And later sold it to olam. Which olam now bought us out at #24.
Na watin save me

It starts with free and fair election starting from lga, governors and presidency. Then we can elect leaders we can hold accountable .

Then efcc/icpc should be completely independent to do thr job.

Then men of integrity should be made to over see our judiciary.

At this point we have solved over 50% of the problem

Keep your VFD. Maintain a long term view. The real estate business of VFD is due for revaluation. This is going to increase the share price significantly. Also, the company owns significant shares in NGX, Abbey building, investment banking and other micro finance businesses. The growth of these companies should affect VFDs share price significantly

They are in different sector but they are still products from a factory.
How long do you think this exploitative pricing can last before the people will rebel .Though it is equally part of the purpose of this ipo .To have large voices to stand on his side when it happens
10 million targeted shareholders of 10 unit....lol

If i dont see a better opportunity in the market before October 2, i will take some position in the king of MOAT. The odds are all in the favour of Dangote refinery to do well. As an investor my funds are patient usually, i will hold for 5 years minimum and this IPO at 525 will look unbelievable by 2031 or less. This game is all about having much more wins and ensuring that you can survive you loses.
Ordinary Aradel i bought at 510 in July 2025 touched 2000 in April 2026,less than 1 year. TIP PO I bought at 9.5 in January 2026 touch 35 in less than 6 months.
