megawealth01:Dangote Flour, Cement and Sugar? All in Oligopolistic sectors. And is demand for those products fairly elastic or inelastic? Refinery is a monopoly; demand is relatively inelastic. The economy relies on fuel to run. The only thing that can mess it up is govt license for massive fuel importation |

What was the point of Dangote talking with regulators from SA, Kenya and other African countries? Does he really intend to list some of his shares on other exchanges and reduce his stake? |

History may not repeat itself exactly but 2008 reminds us that excessive optimism, speculation, greed and disregard for fundamentals can create patterns that eventually lead markets back to painful realities. |

As seen on the internet Of course, Tinubu did it so that you, Aliko Dangote, and your friends could get richer while millions of Nigerians became poorer. That is not governance. It is a PADI PADI GOVERNMENT, a government of friends, by friends, and for friends. Dangote benefited from enormous state support to build his refinery. Then Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu removed the subsidy ordinary Nigerians depended upon, forcing the people to absorb crushing fuel prices while big business continued to enjoy preferential treatment. They tell Nigerians that subsidy is evil, but what do they call tax concessions and waivers for billionaires? SUBSIDY. What do they call preferential foreign exchange arrangements? SUBSIDY. What do they call discounted or preferential access to public land and infrastructure? SUBSIDY. Apparently, subsidy only becomes a dirty word when POOR NIGERIANS are the beneficiaries. We reject this economic apartheid. Nigeria’s wealth must work for the Nigerian people, not just a privileged circle of billionaires and their friends in government. © Sowore Omoyele
