If the money borrowed was not spent before he left office that means he left no deficit. Its simple. U can't be looking on d negative on the accounting book while ignoring the positive that is steering you in d face. Am no accountant just the little I know on balancing an account
The issue is that he was economical with the truth—or simply lying—if he declared only what he left behind without what he owed. For 12 years, he never mentioned the debts. He keeps asking us to verify and even dares people to produce evidence.

All we have ever seen and heard about is what he left, not what he owes. Being truthful would have meant declaring both the savings and the debts—even if the surplus is real.

Trust is in question when it takes someone raising the debts before he owns up—and now he has to explain and explain. Truth does not require personal interpretations.

AVACAP — SIMPLE TA | 25 SEPTEMBER 2026
Trend: 🟢 Bullish
AVACAP continues to make higher closes: ₦4.70 → ₦4.90 → ₦5.00 → ₦5.05 → ₦5.15 → ₦5.20.
Current: ₦5.20
Key levels
₦5.00–₦5.15: Support
₦5.20: Current pivot
₦5.30: First breakout
₦5.35: Confirmation
₦5.40: ⭐ Key acceptance level
₦5.50: Major resistance
₦5.55–₦5.70: Heavy supply
What we're watching today
₦5.20 holds → ₦5.30 breaks → ₦5.35 → ₦5.40 holds
If buyers can push through ₦5.40 with strong volume, the next major test is ₦5.50.
If ₦5.30–₦5.40 keeps rejecting price, AVACAP may consolidate around ₦5.15–₦5.30 instead.
Volume
Yesterday: 2.59M shares.
For today's breakout to be convincing, we want rising volume as price moves above ₦5.30–₦5.40.
Bottom line
AVACAP remains technically bullish/constructive. The main battle today is ₦5.30–₦5.40. A sustained move above ₦5.40 with volume would strengthen the setup toward ₦5.50.

Why do you think, Nigeria, as a member of OPEC, should not subsidize the cost pf petroleum to her citizens?
Can you mention one single member of OPEC where price of fuel per income is as expensive as Nigeria?
Can you mention one single member of OPEC that exports crude and imports refined petroelum?

Ordinarily, petroleum products should be cheaper in Nigeria than many African countries because we have crude more than most of tehm. It is called ''comparative advantage''
It is the corruption, inefficiencies and mismanagement of the 4 refineries that is making us buy fuel at high prices.
Petrol should be expensive, that's the strategic advantage of oil producing states over others. But cheap for common man? No?! Our problem is having a windfall of over N14 trillion in subsidy savings and not fixing the PUBLIC transportation sector, but run a trillion on a white elephant(Lagos-Calabar corridor) project!!

Instead, he has continued the Buhari styled approach of chronic Nepotism and sectionalism(without sounding tribalistic).

Going by the premise, it would only be fair, if Obi wins for the interest of the SE region(without sounding tribalistic). But we know like GEJ, Obi is a nationalist unlike the other lots occupying the seat of gov't. Doing it with every swine that cares only for their bellies!!

In other capitalist euphoria: Oando to 1 trillion market cap! Total the OG is still listed on NGX? tongue

Dupeodus:
Why Nigerians think they are entitled to fuel subsidy beats me. Almost all African countries around Nigeria do not subsidise petroleum products. Yes, Nigeria has oil. However, per capita quantity is minuscule. The oil is also in the ground. It costs money to extract, refine and distribute it. If the government spends all the money on fuel subsidies like we were doing before, I wonder what will be left to do other things. Today, some state and local governments are testifying that it is the increased allocations enabled by withdrawal of subsidies that is making them do what they are doing.
Why do u people keep circulating this rubbish about state and lga having more money. is nigeria all about state and lga paying salaries. what is the percentage of the yeye people collecting salaries to the rest of us..
I have been in government facility for over a week now.And you cannot imagine what Nigerians are going through to afford hospital bills. The private hospital is on different level as nigeria doctors operating private hospitals are not humans any longer .if you see the rejection of sick people in government facilities becauseof lack of space to admit them. You begins to wonder .why spend such billions on unnecessary things

Why not say the debt that was generated during obi tenure as Governor for 8 yrs that was not cleared. You are transferring debts that was generated before his government that was possibly not cleared

He said u should verify debts that was generated during his tenure. Then contracts executed during his tenure and approved for payments he did not pay
Stop being half wise.by bringing all manner of carry over to him

We need clarification on the type of loan that they are talking about.

This is possible with overdraft if you do not touch or draw from the line of credit

The only thing is that the borrower will pay the relevant charges related to the loan

Go and watch the interview please, stop making your observations from the streets of the internet. He explained everything clearly, even giving the documents and bank statements of the accounts with several Nigerian banks to Charles and told him to go to their offices, including the world bank offices and confirm, more than tinubu ever would. Are investors liers too? Because the money that I know follows trust.

It was a world bank facility obtained by the FG for the best 3 performing states in education then, Anambra, Ekiti, bauchi. It was not obtained by him or the ASG neither did he solicit for it. It comes with a very low repayment interest and the tenor spread across several years surpassing his tenure. He made a point that What he left behind is far more than what the total loan was, if at all he collected it and expended all of it of which he did not, he payed the interest and all accruables during his tenure as at when due and left no debt behind but instead a net surplus both in dollars, fixed term interest earning assets for the state govt and in naira . That is what he is saying.

13% is too small Sir. As he said, it's better states generate from their own resources and pay taxes to the center.
My brother, 13% derivation fund is not small if the money was piped directly towards the Local Government Areas where the resources are extracted from.

The resource derivation fund should not go to the State but go ditectly to the Local Government Area where those resources are situated and extracted for development purposes and social projects.
