Kai... Which kind yeye lie be this one now? Same Atiku that was practically looking over his shoulder during the visit. Before he followed the Senate President under diplomatic cover to the US, he had not been known to have visited the US up to 12 year prior, nor has he visited again since then.

Atiku has a far higher chance of being arrested in the US than Tinubu if they were both to enter without diplomatic cover.

I really do not know if you deliberately lie or you honestly made a mistake.

Mr "As Seen on the Internet", I see you too. I noticed that the folks here have beaten you in your game, you are now trying to balance it by bringing 'scenes from other seens'. To see that you even 'seen' your oga's lie and shared it shows you know your cover is up.

mikeapollo:
Please don't add a spin to it. Atiku did not use the diplomatic entourage visa of Saraki to visit US!
It was Bukola Saraki that followed Atiku to give him support.

Atiku hired PR lobbyists firms who worked in the diplomatic circles and they assisted him, alongside Obasanjo to help him get his US visa.

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by 9jatriot(m):
See another yeye statement.

Let us put this in context so that the character flaw becomes more obvious even as you try to play the ostrich with your 'Cent Obi'.

A man intends to marry, and without being asked, the girl is swearing on her mother's life that she is a virgin. If on the wedding night the groom finds out she is not a virgin, he will be very disappointed. Not necessarily because her virginity was that important to him, but because the lie was, first of all, very unnecessary and secondly, the confidence with which the lie was told, almost swearing on her mother's life. If she had simply said, "I did it in the past and am no longer doing it," or even said, "I do not want to talk about it," it would have given her room to wriggle, not tell an outright lie, particularly when such a restriction is no longer a condition for marriage.

If, after being caught, she now starts claiming that since the sex was in the bathroom, as long as it was not on the bed is even more insulting.

Back to your oga, which one is? Taking a loan without spending it is not the same thing as he taking a loan. And the man is so crafty, just like you, that he is now only focusing on one loan, whereas 8 different loan evidence were provided in the 'go and verify' challenge.

mikeapollo:
Thank you for saying I am very blind. Thanks., I am grateful.

Some other people could have seen the scenario as a case between someone who cares about integrity, honesty and is making efforts to be perfect but makes mistakes; and another person who does not care a hoot about integrity, honesty and is comfortable telling deliberate lies to mislead the people.

But people amplify what they choose to.

I respect this forum a lot and regularly look here to know what is going on (am in diaspora). I often read current posts for information before placing my trades so I do not get blind-sighted by current events that I am not aware of. The forum has been very helpful.
These days, however, I have to sift through lots of posts to see things that are relevant. A lot of the post are about politics. I know politics is always a hot topic, but I wish it is kept to the minimum. in fact it is ok to talk politics as it will affect our portfolio in the near-term. Arguing over politics should best be done on a dedicated forum. Don't get me wrong, I have lots of opinion of my own on politics, but there is no emotion in stock-trading.

I disagree. He is to declare assets and liability of his tenure which was 8yrs. I don't understand this 12 yes u keep mentioning. He is to be held accountable of money that came to him within 8 yrs and what he did with it.Why do you want him to be held responsible for what didn't happen during his tenure or after his tenure. He said u should show someone he owed as a result of his governance dealings within his tenure as the governor..

The question is did he manage the money that came to him during his 8 yrs prudently or not
Can you place him wanting for the funds he received during his tenure and how it was spent.
Unlike this government that can not give account of saved money from subsidy removed.
Do you even know this government has spent trillions of naira outside approved budget which is against the constitution.
Let me clarify the 12 years I have been mentioning.

He was governor for 8 years and left in 2014. From 2014 till now (2026) is 12 years. He has been citing the handover note since then, claiming he never borrowed and that the state was debt-free under him. 2014–2026 is the 12 years—not that he was governor for 12 years.

I have studied the handover note and the figures, and have used them in many discussions. Whenever people ask, he says they should go and verify. He even said if anyone can bring evidence, he will drop his presidential ambition. The claim became explanation and personal interpretation when Soludo brought evidence in the 12th year.

Please note: This is just a clarification of my post to you—not support for or against any candidate.

Okay. You gave a good response and made strong defense. Well, appreciated.

What about someone:
i. who said that they had already met the revenue target for the year in August, but it was discovered to be untrue, and the country went ahead to borrow to support the national budget after he made such comment?
ii. who congratulated the NNPC in 2024 saying the refinery in PH had been successfully repaired and has started refining crude oil to petroleum. But it now turned out that it is false and they still continue to import refined products?

Just asking to be educated.
I have refrained from mentioning names so people would not know who I am referring to and read mischievous meanings into the discussion (some people are just amebo)
Fair question. Let me address both directly.

On the revenue claim:
He said the revenue target was met in August. The Budget Office's own report shows federal revenue was N20.98 trillion against a N25.88 trillion target—a N4.9 trillion shortfall. The deficit hit N13.51 trillion, 47.3% above budget. Borrowing reached N12.62 trillion, exceeding the approved limit by N4.79 trillion. The data was not hidden until someone else flagged it.

On Port Harcourt refinery:
NNPC announced it had resumed production in November 2024. By May 2025 it was shut down for "maintenance." By February 2026 the NNPC CEO admitted the refineries were closed because they were "operating at significant losses." As of August 2026, the NMDPRA factsheet shows NNPC refineries remained non-operational. Dangote supplied 99.9% of domestic petrol receipts. Nigeria continued importing.

On consistency:
You asked if I apply the same standard. Yes. A public officeholder who claims targets are met when the budget office shows shortfalls, and announces a refinery delivered when it stops operating months later, has failed the standard of accurate public disclosure. That is not a demand for perfection. It is a demand for truthfulness about verifiable facts. Apply that rule to anyone—past, present, or future. Both the FM and NNPC CEO admitted without personal interpretations.

We shouldn't live in a place where we see some people as very bad because they made a full disclosure about failures, debts, deficits, and liabilities and admitted when challenged—and see others as good while they removed failures, debts, deficits and liabilities from their claims and still refuse to admit when challenged, giving personal interpretation instead.

That will be the greatest miracle of the century. Don't be deceived by the N1.05k capital appreciation today. The reason of the beautiful rally today is because it still have a lot of upside. The N1.05k it gained today, GTCO, Zenith, Firstholdco had gained it some six months ago. It is only trying to play catch-up to UBA ( that one is just stagnant)

You can’t really talk about the economy without talking about politics, because the two are closely connected.

I usually block people who clearly don’t accept or appreciate my political discussions and posts here. I don’t want to annoy anyone, so after the three weeks, they can simply choose to block me themselves if they still don’t want to see my posts.

However, once I notice any message or comment suggesting that someone doesn’t like me posting about politics, I’ll simply block the person again. No hard feelings, it’s just about respecting everyone’s preferences and keeping the space comfortable for all.

IF YOU BOUGHT THE DANGOTE REFINERY IPO THROUGH A BANK, PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE 13th OF OCTOBER 2026

I have seen so many posts on social media saying:
“If you don't want to cry later, don't buy Dangote IPO through a bank.”
“Use a stockbroker app, otherwise you will regret it.”

I understand where some of these people are coming from.
Because...
There have been situations in the past where people subscribed to public offers through banks, and after the offer, they had issues getting their shares properly connected to their CSCS accounts.

But as Someone deeply connected in the system, there is something I want you to understand about this particular Dangote Refinery IPO.
The Process Has Been Structured Differently.

As your Financial Literacy Advocate..
Let me tell you what is happening behind the scenes.
And please, pay attention because this is the kind of thing many people don't know.

First of all...
What Happens When You Buy Dangote IPO through BANK?

Let's say you go to your bank and say:
“I want to subscribe for Dangote Refinery IPO.”
You make your subscription.
The bank is not the company selling you the shares directly.
Behind the scenes, your subscription goes through the capital-market structure involving stockbrokers and the Central Securities Clearing System (CSCS).

And this is where your BVN becomes very important.
Yes..
Your BVN is being used as the number one part of the identification process to connect you to your CSCS details or Create new CSCS Account for new Investors.
So whether you subscribed through a:
Bank
Fintech
POS
or another approved channel,
the fact that you used a bank or POS does not mean your shares are sitting inside that bank.
THAT IS NOT HOW THE SYSTEM WORKS.

Oya Calm down...
Let me Explain this better in a way that even Grandma in the Village will nod her head and say:
"Yes i understand this one"

Imagine Mama Ngozi wants to buy shares.
She goes to a POS terminal and says:
“I want to subscribe for Dangote IPO.”
She pays her money.
Now, the POS terminal itself is not becoming the owner of Dangote shares.
No.
The POS is simply providing a channel through which her subscription is submitted to CSCS directly via the Stockbroker that sponsored the POS Company.
Yes.
I want you to understand that every fintech company or platform selling this Dangote IPO, behind that channel has its own relationship with a stockbroker.

For example, where a fintech partners with a particular stockbroker, the subscription is routed through that stockbroker.
For Example:
If you buy DANGOTE IPO on Flutterwave, Airtel Smartcash, Paga or MTN Momo APP just know that The Stock Brokers behind your Transaction is Chapel Hill Denham (the Owner of InvestNaija APP)

And when you buy the Dangote IPO on Moniepoint App or POS just know that the Stock Brokers behind the transaction is Vetiva Securities Limited.
So there are different people doing different jobs behind the scenes.
You see the POS.
But behind that POS is a financial system.
You see the fintech app.
Behind that app is a stockbroker.
And behind the stock-market settlement system is CSCS.
THAT IS THE PART MANY PEOPLE DON'T SEE.

Now Here Is The Important Part....
For this Dangote IPO process, your BVN is important for linking your identity to your CSCS details.
So after subscribing, no matter the platform you use, please check your phone.
Check your SMS.
Check your email.
You should be looking for the new CSCS/CHN information connected to your subscription.

And this is very important:
DON'T JUST SUBSCRIBE AND FORGET ABOUT IT.
If you subscribed through a bank and the bank gave you the option to select a stockbroker, pay attention to the stockbroker you selected.
That stockbroker will send you a New CSCS via SMS within 48 hours.
Why?
Because your CSCS/CHN details are connected to the stockbroker through which your investment account is maintained.

As someone that wants to Educate Millions of Nigeria's to become Financial Intelligent.
One of the thing that I love about this Dangote IPO is that it has actually Exposed the Strength and Weakness of our investment Platform in Nigeria.
As you can see many Apps Crashed on the Opening day... And many of those companies have learnt from their Weakness.

Today, you can see a lot of them have improved in their Technology.
For Example:
Chapel Hill Denham and NGX Group has even introduced a WhatsApp number that will enable Investors to Subscribe to the Dangote IPO automatically on WhatsApp and the order will be sent to CSCS automatically, everything on Whatsapp Chat.

NOW LET ME ALSO TALK ABOUT WHAT HAPPENS AFTER ALLOTMENT.
You subscribe today.
The IPO closes on the 13th of October.
Then comes the allotment process.

If shares are allotted to you, those shares are supposed to be credited through the capital-market settlement structure to your relevant CSCS account.
Then, when the company becomes available for trading in the secondary market by November Ending, you can trade the shares through your stockbroker.
That is why your CSCS details are important.

And as someone who is Following Fokona or Iking Ferry page, I believe You don't want to wait until after allotment before asking:
“Where are my shares?”
You should have started understanding the process from the moment you subscribed.
And that's why I built Fokona to localise and democratise Financial Literacy in Nigeria and across Africa.

Please if you have any questions about the Dangote IPO or Anything about Investment, visit Fokona website and ask your Questions, we have built a Financial Community where Expert and Beginners can share knowledge and learn Together.

SO IF YOU BOUGHT THE DANGOTE IPO THROUGH A BANK, DON'T PANIC.
Your money is not lost, every Nigeria Bank is mandated to forward your orders automatically via API integration to your individual Stock Brokers.

We’ve already raised money needed for refinery IPO — Dangote

…reveals 10m shareholders target

By Abisola Adigun

Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, has disclosed that the ongoing Initial Public Offering (IPO) of Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals has already raised the amount of money the company set out to attract.

Dangote said the next focus was to broaden ownership of the refinery, with the company targeting as many as 10 million shareholders across Africa.

He made this known during a video interview with CNN International correspondent, Larry Madowo, shared on Madowo’s X page on Monday.

Madowo had told the billionaire about the growing interest among Nigerians on social media, with some users inspecting Dangote’s trucks and visiting his cement factories while describing themselves as investors.

Responding, Dangote said interest in the IPO had extended beyond Nigeria.

“I think this IPO is not only for Nigerians. We’ve got a lot of interest from all over Africa, and we’re selling shares. We’re trying to bring in democracy to our stock markets,” he said.

According to him, the company wants to distribute ownership among a large number of investors rather than have the shares concentrated in the hands of a few people.

“We’re looking at having 10 million shareholders,” Dangote said.

When asked to confirm whether he was confident about achieving the target, the billionaire said the company had already secured the funds it was looking for.

“I’m 100 per cent sure we get 10 million shareholders. I mean, we’ve already raised the money that we’re looking for, so this is just to make sure we spread the wealth across the continent,” he said.

Dangote added that the number of shareholders could eventually be so large that the company might need a stadium to accommodate them at its annual general meeting

Iran has proposed a seven-day plan to reopen the Strait of Hormuz to international shipping, with Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi revealing the proposal at the UN General Assembly sidelines in New York.

The plan, delivered to the US through mediators, conditions the strait's reopening on the immediate lifting of the US naval blockade, the release of all frozen Iranian assets, and an end to the war on all fronts.

The White House told CNN discussions were "positive and constructive." US and Iran representatives also held direct talks on UNGA sidelines on Tuesday, their first in months.
