Thanks a lot, will do as you advised

megawealth01:
Yes, it is worth investigating all of them: First Inland Bank became FinBank and was acquired by FCMB,

It is definitely worth investigating all five investments, as old certificates, purchase forms, AGM notices, your BVN and other records can help trace your holdings even where you no longer have certificates.

Start with a CSCS Global Search through a registered stockbroker, then follow up with the relevant registrars for any surviving shares, acquisition proceeds and unclaimed dividends.

Please, if you don’t like my posts and you’re still following me, then that’s just a waste of a followership. 😂 I’ll even start blocking those who go under other people’s comments to announce that they don’t like my posts.

I’m very intentional about what I’m doing, and I won’t allow this group to become dull. I’m here to keep things lively, engaging, and informative.

And to those complaining about my posts-you still enjoy all the market updates I share here for free. Una dey pay me for the premium service? 😂 If you’re getting valuable information at no cost, abeg, allow me to do my thing. 😎
This is how I see it:
If there are more people who do not like some kind of posts from you than those who like them, then just stop such posts. At least for now.

I mean if 7 or more people say they don't want them, and less than 5 people say they want, the majority should have their way.

Your intent to keep the space lively is good but it has to come secondary to people's choices.

I am indifferent, I can always skip posts that don't interest me, and I believe some other people too are exactly like that.

But still, let's respect the request of the majority on this.

*GTCO H1 2026 — Audited Results*

Stable half, growth has flattened after the huge FX-driven 2023/2024 boom.

*Headline:*
- *PBT:* N603.03bn in H1 2026 vs N600.90bn in H1 2025 — *+0.35%* basically flat
- *Total Assets:* N18.62trn vs N17.76trn — *+4.81%*
- *Total Equity:* N3.31trn vs N3.41trn — *-2.82%*

*What drove it:*

- *Profitability:* Stability, not growth. Corporate banking still the main engine.
- *Balance Sheet:* Asset growth came from investment securities, not aggressive loan expansion.
- *Efficiency:* Personnel cost up moderately to N56.97bn, total Opex at N223.08bn — cost control holding.
- *Equity dip:* -2.82% suggests dividend payout / fair value movements eating into retained earnings despite profit.

*Read:* GTCO is in a normalization phase. The big PBT jumps are over, now it's about defending margins, growing assets conservatively, and managing costs. Flat PBT on bigger assets = return on assets slightly compressed.

If H2 follows same trend, full-year PBT should be around N1.2trn again, similar to 2025.

*Eunisell Interlinked Plc — H1 2026 (Unaudited) — Strong half*

Small-cap doing big numbers.

*Key Metrics (June 2026 vs June 2025):*
- *Revenue:* N1.83bn vs N1.41bn *+30.24%*
- *PBT:* N353.9m vs N235.8m *+50.06%*
- *PAT:* N353.9m vs N190.4m *+85.80%* — no tax charge recorded in 2026 period
- *Total Assets:* N1.47bn vs N929m *+58.28%*
- *Total Equity:* N840m vs N486m *+72.77%*

*Breakdown:*

- *Revenue:* Oil & Gas is the engine — N1.59bn vs N1.16bn last year. Power products also up to N115.46m.
- *Profitability:* Gross profit +36% to N652.95m. Big kicker is finance cost down 75% to N10.62m — that alone added ~N30m back to bottom line.
- *Balance Sheet:* Equity almost doubled on retained earnings surge — N135.5m to N489.4m. But watch receivables: Trade receivables & prepayments jumped to N875.34m — that's ∼60% of total assets tied up in receivables. Classic for oil services.
- *Efficiency:* PAT grew faster than PBT because no tax provision this period vs last year. When tax normalizes, PAT growth will cool.

*Read:* Real growth, not just inflation. Top-line +30%, PBT +50% means margin expansion. If they can collect those receivables and keep finance cost low, H2 should stay strong.

How do you think FPI buying due to FTSE Russel might affect your prediction?

aj8:
Common Sense Target for GTCO based on H1 is 111.80. The lower the fall below 111.80 the better the entry. I expect some media engineering around a probable high-end-of-year dividend payout to help prop up the price maybe around N120 till Q3 results show improved prospects. I would consider buying at prices within N105.00-N111.00 should it fall to that range.

Hope you know that if you stop posting or coming to Nairaland, this thread won't die...others will simply pick up the slack (if any) and you will be forgotten after a while. I have been on NL under different monikers since 2007 or so, when NL had about 300k members in total. I have been in different areas of interest and many of the most popular contributors there either left or deleted accounts or died and nothing happened to the topics because life just went on with new people. All this 'what do the assumed majority bring to the thread' is a very entitled way to think about your contributions. It doesn't make you any better than the politicians you criticise.

Quite an observation. My expectation was not met with GTCO interim dividend, going by the fact that it is going for N137 and only able to pay N1.00k. The laugh will still come when the alert hit my account. Mind you the corporate disclosure is not yet out. But, am optimistic that Zenith Bank would improve on the N1.25k paid last year, UBA will surely will improve on the N0.25k if they don't want their share price to remain stagnant. Fidelity Bank may have something on its sleeve with the rate of accumulation and the recent price appreciation. Accesscorp hmmmmm huh will be willing to make investors smile but, will the CBN allow them ?
The clock is ticking, GTCO as usual has led the way. What will other Banks H1 look like ?

I am a dividend investor and dividend remain my icing on every investment made

grin grin grin
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by faoogoke(m): 8:30am On Sep 29
Accesscorp will pay. They have made up for the regulatory lapses identified by CBN.

N0.50K at least hopefully

The result is not fantastic. There will be no capital appreciation. But, all the same, we would manage the N1.00k interim dividend.

Well, the market is opened. It is already losing N2.00k

It is called dumping, they failed to meet investors expectations. If care is not taken, it will rub-off on other banking stocks. I am no prophet.
